Date Night

Seth and I rarely have date nights. We were lucky enough to get to go out a week after my birthday as late birthday/date.  We had been looking at this particular show for a little while but the prices were a little hard to swallow. But Seth and his brother figured a way to get discounted tickets with a group, so we went for it. This was similar to the very first date Seth and I ever went on.

Our seats were dead center with a great view. It was AMAZING. Its hard to explain but there was acrobatics, dancing, horse involved numbers, Arial dancers, live music, tribal dancing, men of moon shoes and so much more than I can explain. It was well worth the money. The show was well done and it was awesome to see it all come together.

This giant carousel came out of the ceiling and the performers were so incredible. Their strength was unnatural.

Snow Days

Just before spring break we had several snow days! Some were more ice days than snow days but we had a day or two with beautiful fluffy snow.  The kids ended up missing 3 and a half days of school. Some if which will have to made up at the end of the year. Yuck! We tried to get out and play every day. Inevitably, due to our lack of good cold weather gear, Emily would fall or get snow in her mittens or whatever and cave. But they all had a grand time!

Of all those who ventured outside. Maggie was the biggest wimp. She would only stay out there 10 minutes or so.
A little indicator of the show

I was pretty impressed by Abby's snow angel

They liked making snow towers

Handsome Boy, He could have stayed all day out there!

Finally dads home to help build a snow man!!!!(mom had hurt her back and was out of commission)

Pretty impressive

I cant believe how big they were able to make it! Making snow balls on the trampoline apparently was very helpful

Yep, that's my girl

Nuts

Abigail had a little musical program at school last month. It was called Nuts and all the kids were supposed to be either trees or nuts. It was cute and they sang lots of fun songs. From what I could tell Abby did really well. There was a child who wore bunny ears much to my displeasure who happened to be right in front of Abby (She had a special part but any head wear was only supposed to go an inch above the head. I wasn't happy can you tell?) . I could only really see her for one song. Not to mention keeping an eye on nems and Briggs. She has cone a long way from screaming and crying at these events.

Tiny Dancer

Emily loves to sing and Dance. We have been saying for awhile now that we would put her in dance and we just haven't. I have been hesitant because it is sooooo expensive. But now that she is three I looked into a couple of the rec centers around here to see what they had available. Lucky for her there was a ballet/jazz class for 3-5 year olds. Its only for about 8 weeks once a week. But its better than nothing!

I will have to say watching this was probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen. She was so into it and looked so adorable. I couldn't help but sit and grin. She did way better than I thought. She listened to the teacher and watched her every move for what to do next. I looked for ballet shoes and local stores but none had her tiny size. I had to order them from amazon but of course they didn't make it in time for her first class.
