37 Weeks

Just a quick update from my 37 week appointment. My blood pressure is still really good, just trace amounts of protein in my urine and little swelling, however I am very close to the 200lbs mark, Yikes! I forgot to ask the results from my strep B test but since he didn't mention it I am assuming it was negative. I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. The doc puts his weight at about 7 and a half pounds right now. So the doctor is pleased but just in case, I do have a c-section scheduled for the 18Th of September, so one way or another he will be here by then. Until next time....

Finally

In a previous post I had attempted to catch Abby Singing her "Snowman" song but was not very successful. However, on this particular day she seemed very fond of the idea of singing on video. The first one she is singing "Snowman" all the way through, at least by Abby standards (she does stop in the middle to clarify that Abby is singing "Snowman"). The second one she sings it again but, then she sings the "Wheels on the Bus", but amid that decides to spontaneously start singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." Its hard to hear but you should be able to understand.

Below are some really cute custom made presents for Brigham. Cam, My sister in law's mom, (whom I knew before Natalie and also creator of the awesome BMW burp cloth from a previous post) made these super cute booties and this onesie. I cannot say thank you enough, so great!

36 Weeks

Holy cow, literally and figuratively, I cannot believe how the time is flying and how I am already in the home stretch! I am starting to get a bit freaked out because this is all such new territory. Its pretty sad when you have grown out of most of your Maternity clothes. I am still waddling around and manage to make it to the gym, although I have cut that back from 5 times a week to 3. Of course the work outs are really slow but at least I feel like I have done something healthy because my sugar tooth is pretty much uncontrollable right now. Brigham likes to kick/punch a lot. I don't feel him all the time but when I do its a doozie. I finally understand when people talk about the baby playing in their ribs, ouch.
My 36 week check went well. All stats were A OK. Now I am going to the doctor weekly which means he will be here before I know it. I had previously mentioned my doctor wouldn't let me go past my due date due to my prior C-section. But, as I was discussing it with him today he clarified he didn't want me to go too far past my due date. Meaning my due date is September 15Th and he would let me go as far as the 18Th to try to have Brigham naturally. So I was excited, however I wouldn't mind him coming in the next 2-3 weeks :) Keep your fingers crossed.

Bob

I have to admit, Abby's hair was getting wee bit out of control and I had no idea what to do about it. I had been thinking for about a month I wanted to get it cut, but I didn't. The other day Seth mentioned that he thought Abby needed a hair cut. That, coupled with the fact she probably wont get one for awhile was the motivation I needed. Thus, I went and got her a little bob. She actually looks really cute, its sad to say my two year old daughter has a better hairstyle than myself, but its true. This was her second haircut and she screamed bloody murder this time...it was not fun. She wouldn't even let the lady but the cape on her so she cut it without and Abby was a little fur ball by the time we left. The cut is pretty good considering all the movement that was happening.

Abby's life

Abby's life has been a random assortment of things lately. We don't really do a whole lot 1. Due to the intense heat and 2. I am massively pregnant. Thus we stay inside a lot and play. Here are a few of the miscellaneous happenings in our daily lives.Creating a large stash of books to read and play withPlaying inside suitcases at Grandma'sBeing made into a burrito by Seth...She did not like this one...

The other day I overheard Abby in her room singing "Once there was a Snowman" so I quietly went to get the camera and stuck it through the door without her seeing. It did not last long, she was talking and then she spots me and says "CHEESE". Big goof!

This one I caught the tail end of "Snowman" she is singing the part where he is "Tall, Tall, Tall" but then you hear her again say, "CHEESE". Shes always ready for her 15 minutes!

Home Again

***The holy crap, I'm actually home look***

We just sent Luke to England and now Chandler is home from her mission in Montana. She came home Thursday and of course was thrilled to be home. Abby and I went with some other family members to the airport to pick her up. Of course there were tears, hugs and all that jazz. When Chandler left Abby was not even crawling yet, and now she walks a talks. I was a little afraid Abby was going to be shy but she gave Chandler a squeeze without hesitation. Welcome home Ham!!!! :) Some of the tears

Holding Abby after a year and a half

Future Missionary...she wasn't too impressed

34 Weeks

Time for another update...when Seth and I first found out we were pregnant we hoped we could at least make it to 34 weeks, now here we are :) I cannot believe it! Looks like I am in for the long haul . I am experiencing a lot of new things. Its one thing to be able to feel a baby inside you but its another to actually see your skin move as he does. Its creepy and wonderful at the same time. As time passes I am also finding out that rolling over, bending down and walking are becoming times of breathlessness. Its weird because I still work out almost everyday, yet I can't breath when I roll over in bed, ahhh the human body.
Today's appointment went really well. My blood pressure was great, I hadn't gained too much weight although I think by the end I might surpass the 200 mark, Yikes! Anyway he is head down with a good heartbeat, and that's what matters. I am not nearly as swollen as I was with Abby which is great. Now its just a wait and see process. My doctor says if I go into labor on my own than I can have her naturally, however he will not induce me (due to my prior C-section, which I guess is a no no) and he wont let me go past my due date, because if I do its C-section number two :( Lets just say I am hoping to go into labor on my own. Which is scary since I have no idea what that's like......So for now I wait for my next appointment in two weeks. I am still in shock that I feel as good as I do and again I count everyday he continues to cook a blessing. Its the best pic that Seth took although its still awful. Its after a rough day at church with Abby and the class we teach.I had to also add these pics of Abby because she looked so cute. Abby's great grandma Imogene sent this dress. She looked so adorable and it went really well with her hair.

As you can see Abby is ready for church, eating a picture of Jesus.....

More horse play

Lets just say being pregnant has caused some jealousy in the past 8 months. Mostly because Seth has been able to go horse back riding and I have not. Especially lately because Luke, his brother, had been trying to ride as much as possible before he left for England. Seth was also able to ride when Dan, another brother, was on leave a few months ago. Here are some of the pictures Luke took while riding with his phone, it's odd he didn't send any of himself but nonetheless, here they are. Riding in the river, very "Man From Snowy River"
Dan and SethSeth with some random ladies who were on the ride. Seth enjoying the scenery.
