Family

A family walk before general conference.

One of the best things in life is getting out and doing things with your family. I just love it when we can all be together. It doesn't happen as often as I would like, but some time is better than nothing.  Having Dad, Mom and the kids is the best. But we take what we can get. Here are some recent happenings...
Finding giant rocks

Look at this MOM!

Discovering that the local wild hog population has been bothered by recent construction and is finding its way to the neighborhood.  Looking for tracks and being amazed at the damage they do.

Climbing giant dirt piles

With all the fun comes exhaustion and we have some sleepy heads in the family, dog included.

Singing all day is another way we spend time together.

Seeing rainbows

Enjoying our new table and sharing the bench seat with all the kids.
Having fun with the dog is always a fun pastime...She also gets into mischief at times too....

Then there is always sword fighting. There is always time for that.

A family Bike ride before bed.

Spending time with the cousins is one of the kids favorite things to do. They are getting so big!

Of course, we spend a lot of time together at baseball games for Briggs. He's a little baseball stud.

A day at the Zoo

Posing with the baby elephant statue

Even though Emily and I have a good amount of  alone time together in a week we rarely do fun things. Mostly its running errands and cleaning house since I am down two kids. On a last minute invite I decided that Emily could use some fun. So we headed to the zoo! She absolutely loved it. It was so easy keeping track of one child. We actually got to take time and enjoy it. She was ready to pose for the camera at just about everything. It was so fun to be able to spend quality alone time with her. It was a good reminder that I should do it more. She is such a great kid!

We had a good time exploring and seeing everything with great friends. 3 Hours at the zoo and we were spent, but it was so fun.

The Dentist

Emily attempting some video games

A few weeks ago the kids all had dentist appointments. Sometimes I think I should schedule them separately seeing as I take them by myself but that's a lot for extra work. I figure its best to get it done and over with. They love getting a new toothbrush from the Dentist and that kept them happy while on our way there...dreams of a new toothbrush.  Overall the kids did great. Abby and Briggs both had x-rays and cleanings and Emily just had a cleaning. She was the hardest of course, she was not happy at all when it came to her turn. She screamed while he brushed her teeth and I held her.
He even looks cool at the dentist

There were no cavities this time around which I am very thankful for. However Abby has been recommended to see an orthodontist. The adult teeth that are growing in are coming in wonky, and where there should be 4 teeth coming in she only as 2. So that's going to need some realigning.  Another "mostly" successful visit.

Abby is finally at the age where its not that big of a deal

Baseball Season

Brigham decided he wanted to play baseball again. This is his second season.  We  chose to play him up a level because he can hit the ball better when its thrown than off of a tee.  Because of his birthday he should be on the 3/4 year old tee ball teams. But he is playing on the 5/6 year old coach pitch teams. If they don't hit it on the first 3 pitches then they use the tee. So far after two games he has had a hit EVERY at bat. No tee necessary.

These pictures are from his first practice. There are some pretty big kids on his team! He is great at throwing and batting. He still needs some work with fielding. It is so fun as a parent to be on the side of things. I love watching the kids play and develop and all their activities. It makes me so proud.
At practice. He really didn't want to use the tee.

Brigham's team this season is the Royals. He looks so cute in his uniform. A real ball player with his gear on his back.
Some pregame pics. He loves to pose.

At his first game getting ready to bat. He is such a little stud!

The video is his second at bat. He hits it as soon as the video starts. Its funny because he just stands there admiring his hit completely forgetting to run. You may want to turn it down...I got a little excited.

The below video is Briggs running to home. So cute.

The Rangers Game

After Brigham's birthday party we took him to his first Rangers game. He was so excited to see them! He loved seeing the stadium  and all the people.  However the thing he loved the most was the food! He couldn't wait to eat and watch. We were in in luck because the clouds were out and it was cooler day. Which of course necessitated sweat shirts. Hey and guess what? The Rangers actually won!
The kids really enjoyed it. We decided not to take Emily because we didn't think she would have the patience and I wasn't quite sure about how the stadium was laid out. I am glad we left her because I probably would have been afraid the whole time. The stairs are steep and our seats were close to the edge.

It was a fun family outing that we will definitely be doing again. Sometimes its good to change things up. Happy Birthday little dude.
Our little cheer leaders

Love them

Here is the food. Expensive and kinda nasty but they LOVED it! The were so excited to eat there.

He went and spent some of his money on cotton candy. They went to the guy by themselves...precious moments

I had to make them pose with a few things...what kind of mom would I be if I didn't?
