My Mom and her Husband Ron drove halfway across the country this month to come meet Emily and visit with us. It was a long trip from California but, they made it. The kids were so excited for them to be here and to play. Abigail and Brigham were not shy in the least and instantly were inseparable from them. They loved playing house/school/family/whatever Abby could dream up, and Ron and my Mom were troopers in playing along. They were here for 8 nights, and we all really enjoyed having them. Brigham and Abigail especially miss their play partners.

We celebrated my Dad's Birthday this year with a small family dinner at his house. We attempted to have a picnic at the lake but due to some strong winds, nixed that plan. We ended up flying the kids kites for awhile, which ended up being a really good time. It took some effort but both Brigham and Abigail's kites took flight. It was fun to watch everyone participate. To end the day we had homemade cupcakes and opened presents. It was a good day. Happy Birthday Dad/Papa
I realize Easter was a few weeks ago, however I have this thing where I have to post my pictures chronologically. If I post something out of sequence of when I know they happened it really irritates me. I know. I. Am. Anal.
Anywho...We had a good Easter this year and the Easter bunny filled the kids baskets with all sorts of things. Including but not limited to, new swim suits, kites, paddle boards, candy and these cool wash rag things.
The kids were so excited to get their baskets. We opened them and spent the morning playing with the goodies. Then we headed to Church to learn more of our Savior, feel the spirit and reflect on the true meaning of Easter.
Afterwards we had a gathering with most of Seth's family and ate some yummy food and spent some time together, too bad I didn't have my camera for that.
All in all it was a wonderful Easter.

Their Kites
They got these little squares that you put into the tub that expanded into wash clothes. They were actually rather cool
My sister in law Chirsty was kind enough to loan us her van while she was out of town. It was really nice to have two cars again, for a short time. The kids loved riding in it and every time we went somewhere they made sure it was in the van. I must say this only increase my desire to own a van!
In preperation to return her van, Seth and the kids washed it on a rather beautiful day last week. The kids loved it and loved helping Dad. Nothing like some good quality family car washing time. Thanks again Christy!
