October Festivities

Looking back, October was a blur. We were so busy that month I don't know how it all happened. But I'm glad I have a few pictures to remember it by. After the pumpkin patch came Emily's preschool party. She wanted to be a unicorn again and I was fine with that. She looks just as adorable as the last time.

They made several cute little crafts, played games and had some snacks that were straight from Pinterest. It was a great time with all of her little buddies.

Then Came the wards trunk or Treat. The kids all dressed up and we went and had dinner at the church before the trunk or treat began. It was actually pretty warm this day and I felt bad for everyone in costume. But Hyrum, dang how cute is this little tigger!!!

Look at these brothers years apart!!! So cute and all we need is Christopher Robin.

The night overall was a success and the kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and I thoroughly  enjoyed all their candy.

One night we spent carving pumpkins. It is so much work, thank heavens for Seth who does a lot of the work while I clean it all up and take pictures. Not to mention he has a great skill for carving pumpkins, they always turn out great!

Then there was character day at school where they could dress up like a character from a book. Briggs desperately wanted to be Ash from Pokémon so much so that he gave me money to buy a book so he could dress up like him. Not bad for a last minute ensemble.
Abigail's was a little trickier. She wanted to be Anne of Green gables but I could not throw that together very quickly. So she got Ivy and Bean, Although I have no clue which one she is.

Finally for the last event of October we had Halloween night!

Huge Surprise Abby was a bird again. Aunt Chandler is awesome and went to a lot of work creating this for her. She was the most beautiful Owl on the whole block!! If you don't recall she has also been a peacock and a macaw, who knows what next year will bring!

What a pretty little Unicorn

Ash ready for some action. Surprisingly everyone knew who he was! I say that's a win!

The whole cute crew

We went trick or treating with our neighbors who we love. They are sooo freaking awesome. She has three sons and they went as the Blue Man group. It was rad.

The pumpkin Patch 2016

After quite a lull in visits to the pumpkin patch over the years I finally managed to make it happen and was able to get Seth there as well. They have made a few new additions, like this giant chair, but had some of the old classics as well. The kids had a great time running around and enjoying some quality family time together.

Yep leave it to this goober to make a face, but its adorable nonetheless.

Not much is cuter than my pumpkin with pumpkins.

"mom take my picture"

How bout this one?

Look at these two beautiful girls of mine!

Yes sir, she is guilty!

That poor sea horse....kinda random seahorse at a pumpkin patch??

Road Trip

Late July we embarked on yet another road trip. The first leg was to Albuquerque NM where we had so many people to see in about 24 hours. Seths Cousin Erin lives outside of the city and on our many journeys through Albuquerque had yet to visit. This time it was our mission.

Not even 5 minutes into the 9 hour leg of the trip both Emily and Hyrum were asleep. Then not 20 minutes later we had to stop for the older ones to use the bathroom.  :/

Finally after many stops, snacks and movies we made it to the Land of Enchantment. I always look forward to coming over the hill to see the City of Albuquerque, it reminds me of so many trips I made as a kid.

This is the gorgeous view from Erin's porch. She is lucky we just didn't unload our car for good. I was in heaven.

The kids loved exploring their property and home. They are building it themselves and its a work in progress but it is awesome. They especially loved rollerblading and playing basketball in their basement.

Hyrum was an instant hit as always and the Edwards girls loved passing him back and forth. It was rather adorable.

Before we said goodbye much too soon, the kids had to get some playtime in on their awesome outdoor full size basketball court. Seriously this place is so dreamy.

Getting some last minute snuggles in!

After we left the cousins country place we headed to visit My Great Aunt Betty and Great Aunt Gerdy. They are always so fun to visit. I spent so much time with them when I was little and have very fond memories playing at the park with them all the time. It was also a very quick visit but I am happy that we at least got to pop in and say hello!

Then we rounded off our visits with Papa and Nana. We were able to go hang our for a little  bit. We had lunch with them and got to let the kids play a little while. The kids always love visiting papa and Nana!

...and just like that we were on the road again! Our visits were a bit of a blur but I am glad we got to see so many loving faces. We really enjoyed our visit.
