The Last Days

 Here are a few of our last adventures in Utah. Our friend Ana from High School has a little land had raises some animals and has a small orchard. We went to visit and pick Apricots. The kids thought it was neat but especially liked throwing the rotten ones to the pigs. Its a beautiful property and home and I am totally jealous.

 My cousin Tiffany also lives there and it was her sons birthday. My other cousin Dustin and his family were also in town and their son had a birthday as well so it was one giant party with all the natives and visitors. Its so fun to have so much family.

We convinced Emily to go down the slide with my cousin Madison. It didn't go well and she didn't go again.

I wanted to be in Utah this year for Pioneer day. Its pretty much like the 4th of July all over again. Codees neighborhood threw a little party and went to eat and play. There was trampoline jumping, badmitten, swinging, eating and fire works. It was a good time for the kids.

The day we left we had to go to Kneaders for breakfast. YUM!

There were also lots of days where the piano was played. I think they did pretty good!

Our trip home started rather interesting. There was a pretty big fire on the mountain. The whole time we had this helicopter hovering over us and then as we got to the wind turbines he dropped down to get some water. We were entertained at least.

Hogle Zoo

 My good buddy Liz and her family live in Utah. I always try to visit her while I am town because she is awesome and our kids are friends. We decided to meet up at the Hogle Zoo and spend the day together will all of our little monkeys. Its a beautiful zoo and the kids were in heaven running to each new enclosure before even seeing what was in front of them. It was a great way to get our families together.

 The zoo had a carousel and a train. We were able to do both. The kids had a great time on each. Briggs has been on a carousel before but for some reason this one was "fast" and scared him.

 The zoo also had a few little shows. We watched the bird show which was actually pretty cool. They had the birds flying low and over our heads most of the time. One flew over Briggs and he whispered "Beautiful" I am so glad he can already appreciate such things.

Our final event of the day was the train. It was cute. It took you to parts of the zoo you cannot access on foot which the kids thought was really neat.

 Whats a day at the zoo without a hard earned lunch. We headed to chik fil a after the zoo. A family favorite for us and spent one last hour together. It was a great day overall and its always so fun to spend time with the Jenkins!
