Horse Play

I have always known Seth loves horses, has ridden and even taken lessons. I on the other hand, do think they are beautiful but have never ridden on one other than being walked across a yard with someone at the reins. So this was a new experience for me. Seth, Luke(my bro-in-law) and I went horse back riding on Saturday. Seth found this play in Sanger that takes you out on beautiful trails for a relatively cheap price. Honestly I was pretty scared, horses are huge but once I got used to it I decided I have found my new passion. I loved it. Although we were on a beginner trail for my sake, we did trot and a few times I was able to gallop which was awesome, Seth could tell you he heard the giggles of joy as I galloped behind. My horse was named Bailey, and I just kept saying "good Bailey thanks for not killing me yet." Seth and Luke both got good horses as well, however Seth's did have a bit of a ornery streak. At first Seth wasn't to thrilled that his horses name was Popcorn but he got over that. Luke has Tuff and I think Luke thought that was appropriate :) Overall it was great I cannot wait to go back. However every time Seth and I would try to ride next to each other our horses would have none of it, I think there was some bad blood in the past maybe they both loved the same stallion...:) but soon as Seth would come close Bailey would run and when I would do the same Popcorn would cut me off. It was rather funny.

Decorating the X-mas Tree

This year Abby was actually able to participate decorating the tree which was a lot of fun. We turned on the Christmas tunes, had some eggnog and went to work. I made sure to get "shatter proof" ornaments, which held up through several throws and drops but there still were a few causalities. Abby loved to put the ornaments on the tree, even if it meant just kinda chucking them into the tree. She kept wanting more and more of them. She also loves the lights and continually says "yights" and tries to yank them off. Slowly all the ornaments have migrated to the top of the tree to avoid their death . But it sure was fun watching Abigail's expressions.

The Rash

Abby has had a growing rash for a few days now. At first it started small and I thought it was just baby acne, but as the days past it grew and spread. Then I thought it was because she has had a bad cold and we have been wiping her nose a lot so maybe it was raw and irritated. It did not seem painful nor was it bothering her. But as it was not getting better I decided to take her to the doctor. He said it was a bacterial infection probably caused by all the nose wiping and the pours on her face got infected. Thus now she is on medicine and I hope it gets better soon, since it looks like chicken pocks. Its actually a little worse than in these pics but its on the mend now. These pics we taken on the same day as the header pictures, but with the miracle of photoshop you cannot even tell she has a rash.

A Wii Thanksgiving

These are two of my brother-in-laws, Luke and Curt. They are playing Wii boxing. We all had fun watching everyone act like idiots including ourselves. But I think these two take the cake.

Here is Abby Attempting it as well...

Thanksgiving and Woes

So as stated Seth, Abby and I headed to Beavers Bend OK for thanksgiving with the Whitworth Clan. It was a nice cozy cabin and had beautiful surroundings. It was nice to be able to get away and be a part of nature for a little while. IT was also nice to be in a cabin this year and not camping especially with Abby, the rain and my woes. The holidays this year have not turned out the best for me. If you can remember my Valentines post you can remember why. So this Thanksgiving was no exception. The day prior to leaving I got a UTI which I have frequently and are a pain to deal with (no pun intended) but I do know the routine and can subdue it within about 24hrs. Which I did, so we left but I was still feeling a bit bad. We got there on Wednesday and Thursday was thanksgiving. We ate good food and played games. Then about 12:00 am is when I began to puke my guts out (that's being tame about it) in the communal bathroom upstairs with everyone sleeping, or trying too nearby. That was fun. So having my throat burning all day but otherwise feeling OK the next day my throat began to close and I couldn't swallow with out it feeling like razors. SO I spent all day Saturday in bed and we headed home Sunday, where I went to a CareNow and it turns out I have strep throat. Thankfully in was not Mono as the doctor thought but they gave me a shot of anitbotics plus pills and thankfully I feel almost over it. However now Abby is battling a cold and I hope it does not turn into anything worse. Poor Seth, has been taking good care of us both. He is pretty wiped now too. Anyway the days that I was lucid I did manage to take some good pics....There are some funny videos too which I will post soon.
