Bathroom Construction

We haven't been able to use our master shower in a few months. It has been leaking into the foundation and carpet. We finally decided to deal with it and rip it out. Seth released some frustrations in there and did a pretty good job of destroying the bathroom (in a good way.) Then we had someone come in and do the tiling. This time we chose someone more reputable. We actually did this 5 years ago and obviously the guys did not do a good job. They even cemented in the drain and didn't use a shower pan. Lets just say we learned our lesson. Here it is in pictures...

Sleeping Beauty

Sometimes when we check on the kids while they are sleeping we find Emily in some pretty funny positions. Apparently she even likes to strike a pose while she is sleeping. Little sleeping angel.

Presidents day 2013

We spent presidents day in a few different ways. In the morning  we spent time with an old pal of mine from high school, Liza  and her kids. Its been a few years since I have seen her and it was great to catch up again. Of course, I and put my camera away to charge and completely forgot to get any pictures until after she was gone. Too bad too because her kids were adorable.

Then in the afternoon we spent some time with Grandma Cheri. We went to the childrens  museum, and the kids went from one exhibit to the next very quickly. They did manage to stay in the section where you can make paper airplanes and fly them for a little longer than the rest. They also loved trying to make pin wheels and testing them in the wind machine. Emily especially loved that part, she couldn't get enough. She kept trying to crawl right up to it.
Look  mom I got it!

Say cheese

Too Cute
We explored the dinosaur parts, looking at bones and teeth and giant skeletons. We also went outside and saw the big T-Rex. Abby loved it. Brigham, on the other hand, would not go near the thing. Sometimes his fears get the best of him.
How many kids can fit in a dinosaur print?

So tiny!

The wind blown look...
She loved this wind....

How do I use this thing?

There were also several thing for the kids to test out with their bodies. This little spinner was a winner. The kids enjoyed spinning themselves dizzy. This was their first attempt. On the second go around Brigham was so dizzy he kept falling down for awhile after, it was funny and kinda scary.
There also was a giant tuning fork to hit and hear its sound. Which was pretty cool. However, on the second hit Abby missed the Tuning fork and hit Brigham smack in the eye. Then we became the exhibit, it was entitled: Screaming Crying  kid.  Poor Briggs, he took it like a man....Although on our next pass through the same exact thing happened to another pair of kids, so we didn't feel like such a spectacle.

Missed

Somehow I missed putting these pictures in my many posts about Utah. I guess its better late than never. We had dinner with some friends of ours one night while we were there. It was so great to see them. Unfortunately  we didn't take any pictures til we were walking out the door and her kids were already getting ready for bed. But I guess some is better than none. Liz is one of my greatest pals and I am really sad that she and her family no longer live in Texas.

Yuck. Barf. Gag.

Warning...

Graphic

Pictures

Ahead.

If you have a weak stomach...just dont look.

Brigham has been something else these days. His attitude has gotten worse, he is acting out and he is doing things that he never has done before. The Horrific threes are here.

This particular day the kids have been running around playing. So we didnt pay much when Briggs disappeared for a bit. When Seth went to go find him he found this trail....yes a trail of poop!

Yuck. Barf. Gag.

I guess he went in his pants, then got some on his feet and whet walking around. SUCH A BOY!

It was so nasty. He was pretty gross himself.  All fun was halted and operation scrub down commenced. Seth tackled him which was freaking gross and I tackled the floor. Equally vomit inducing...the trail went into his room too.....NASTY!!!

This is to save for your wedding day Briggs. :) We still love you though.

A daddy Rodeo...

As mentioned in several previous posts. The kids are obsessed with the rodeo. They are always lassoing each other and playing bucking bulls. This day was a great day for them because they roped daddy into being a bull. What a great DAD!

A Beautiful Day

Sometimes the weather here in Texas can be tricky. Very hot and Cold. So we decided to take advantage of a particularly beautiful Saturday and headed to the park. The kids were in hog heaven. Especially Emily. She wanted to be a part of everything. She was pretty upset that she couldn't do everything too. She tried eating everything off the ground and even managed to chomp on some bark. It was a fun adventure. The kids loved looking at the ducks and walking over bridges.  They also were collecting sticks and chasing squirrels too. However, sometimes that can be deceiving; because Brigham ran for a stick, grabbed it and to moms great disgust it wasn't a stick. Just a present from one of the dogs. NAS. TAY. Thus our trip ended....at least we were already getting ready to leave.

Dress Up

The kids have been really into dressing up lately. Especially Abigail. She is always saying things like, "where are my earrings," "mom do my hair" or "don't I look beautiful." Of course she isn't alone. If Abby is doing it so is Briggs, thankfully with all this gear on he still runs around saying hes prince Phillip and he is a conqueror. But they sure are a pair sometimes....

Emily needed some bling too.

look at Abby, such a diva.

At least the sash is accurate.
