BattleCreek and Bridal Veil Falls

Codee, Cort, Abby, Jens and Jay
We did our fair share of hiking while we were in Utah. It just amazes me that you can drive for 20 minutes and hike such beautiful trails. The kids were so excited to hike and explore nature. Two of the hikes, it was Codee and I and all 6 kids. It was an adventure to say the least. I was on high momma alert for sure. Its kinda scary trusting your kids not to fall down the mountains. First up was battle creek. A rather easy hike with lots of Little things for the kids to look at and explore. It was a beautiful day.
Me and Nemmy, looks like Briggs found something special in the background

Abby was bound and determined to climb everything!

On another day we Visited Bridal Veil falls. The hike wasn't really a hike, per say, but a long walk to the falls. But the kids still enjoyed it. This trek was a little more fraught with people as its a more popular spot. But it was a good time nonetheless.

Vivian Park

Always running away...
One night we drove up the canyon to Vivian park and had a picnic with the Family.  It was a gorgeous night and the surroundings we beautiful. All the kids ran around like crazies (especially Emily.) My uncle Teddy has a portable fire pit and as the sun went down we roasted some mallows and made smores and smoreos and various other types of goodies.

FIRE!

OK so maybe there wasn't a fire, but Uncle Randy was kind enough to let the kids come to the Fire Station and have a go at using the fire hose. They were so excited.  The kids loved it! Good thing Uncle Rans has such a cool job. Last time a ride in the engine and this time the hose. He is going to have to come up with something good next!

And off Emily goes! We have  a RUNNER!

Old Friends

When we visit Utah, I like to see my good Friend Liz and family.  I just love her. Even though we were only neighbors for a little while in Texas we have remained good friends. The kids are growing up so fast! As you can see HERE  and HERE from our adventures several years ago.

Its always good meeting up with old pals!

One of the kids favorite things to do while in Utah is ride the 4 Wheeler. Thank you to Uncle Randy who willingly gave them all rides. You made their trip :)
