The larger side of the small space

Our laundry room has been less than desirable for almost ten years. We walk through it everyday about 10-15 times as it is the access point to the house from the garage. Its always been a bit of a wasted space. Its been driving me nuts for awhile now and finally we were able to tackle the beast.
Thankfully, Seth took off the week of Thanksgiving thus we dedicated a few days of that to updating the laundry room before we left for the holidays. I just love this space now. I sit in it sometimes because it one of the nicer areas(weirdo). Its not completely done. I have a few pictures to hang and knick knacks to get but overall I'm In Love.
Demolition Begins.

Seth hates to paint, so while he was cutting and measuring, I painted. Its gray obviously. It is the same color as my living room. I had some left over and decided to save a few bucks in using it.
After most of the painting was done we put in the shelving we built. We caulked and painted it as well.
The shelving mostly complete on the large side of the space. The hooks and beginning of shelves on the small side of the space. Now it is room with a function laundry room/mud room!
Almost done
Finsihed small side!
Clothes bar installed mostly complete!
In this process our washing machine broke. It did good for almost 14 years! I really didn't want to buy new ones but we did. Pictured here are the old ones. |
The small side finished. It works so much better now!!!!
I love it!!!
