Operation Laundry Room

The larger side of the small space
Before
Our laundry room has been less than desirable for almost ten years.  We walk through it everyday about 10-15 times as it is the access point to the house from the garage. Its always been a bit of a wasted space. Its been driving me nuts for awhile now and finally we were able to tackle the beast.

The small space behind the door where "stuff" just "was"

Thankfully, Seth took off the week of Thanksgiving thus we dedicated a few days of that to updating the laundry room before we left for the holidays. I just love this space now. I sit in it sometimes because it one of the nicer areas(weirdo). Its not completely done. I have a few pictures to hang and knick knacks to get but overall I'm In Love.

Demolition Begins.
Briggs really wanted to help

Seth hates to paint, so while he was cutting and measuring, I painted.  Its gray obviously. It is the same color as my living room. I had some left over and decided to save a few bucks in using it.

After most of the painting was done we put in the shelving we built. We caulked and painted it as well.

The shelving mostly complete on the large side of the space. The hooks and beginning of shelves on the small side of the space. Now it is room with a function laundry room/mud room!

Almost done

Finsihed small side!

Clothes bar installed mostly complete!

In this process our washing machine broke. It did good for almost 14 years! I really didn't want to buy new ones but we did. Pictured here are the old ones.

The small side finished. It works so much better now!!!!

I love it!!!

Random Happenings

Instead of doing a lot of little posts, I decided to just to one big post about what we have been up to lately. Life is always interesting...

We bought a new dining room table! We have been saying we need a new one for about 2-3 years.  Most of the chairs we broken and it was in horrible shape. It literally was a hazard. After searching and searching, we got a bigger table that can now seat 8 instead of 6. Which is nice when there is company. We also got a bench seat and the kids love it.

While shopping Emily grabbed the shaving cream, she wanted to smell it. She accidently sprayed her face. It was really funny.

This is Emily and Zoey. She is the baby I watch a few times a week. Emily loves her some baby  ZO Zo.

The Irish Clan came to visit and they got some good cousin time in. Although my kids were really sad when they had to leave.

Jumping on the tramp with Uncle Luke.

I got out of the shower to find Emily like this.

There is this kid. So exhausted he falls asleep in this horrible position.

I was admiring Emily's long hair after her bath. She is so cute.

We had a problem with the sink leaking in the kids bathroom and Brigham helped Seth fix it.

Briggs saying the pledge of allegiance
One Sunday afternoon. Love Briggs and Abby's faces.

Picture day at school all gussied up. Growing up too fast.

Emily went with me to vote, she was a hit among all the elderly workers

Maggie snoring and asleep in my lap. I am pretty sure she thinks she is Human.

Yet another picture of Briggs in an awkward sleeping position.

One of the first cold days of the season required a fire. The kids were so excited!!!

Nems looking cute at Brigham's baseball game

Trying on funny hats at Lowes. The kids thought it was Hilarious.

Chowing down on a cupcake.

The cutest little Indian there ever was. He made this at school and wore it for their feast.

Most nights I find abby asleep in nems bed. But this was too cute.

End of Season

Baseball has come to an end for yet another season. Brigham did so well this year especially since he played with all older boys, and coach pitch for the first time . We are so proud of him and it has been great to watch him progress throughout the season. This little Cub is such a stud. I really love to watch him play! Until next Season...

Team Pictures

Watch a Major League player
At the end of the season there was a team dinner at a local hamburger place. The kids all received their trophies and certificates. It was a final farewell to the season and a last goodbye to all his teammates and their families.

He was so excited to get this, and he did not want to take his picture.
