More Summer Fun!

 

This summer is just whizzing by!!!

Below are some of our adventures...

 

 

Brigham and Emily went to a friends Birthday party and they had so much fun. Of course it was well planned with slides, games, piñatas and yummy food. Good times.

The whole house was decorated with awesome Octonauts decorations. The kids loved it.

 

We have spent time creating a new way of monitoring behavior which so far has been mostly successful. There has been lots of coloring and book reading along with our daily school time routine of 30-40 minutes of learning.

 

 

 

 

We have had lots of time on the trampoline with swimsuits and playing in the sprinklers with friends.
Below is nems and Zoey (the little girl I watched all last school year) a mini little reunion after a month of not seeing each other.

Of course babies have been born so we have been visiting. Nems loves babies! They just love little Brinlee.

Then there is this mess! Moving day was approaching as you can tell and the packing and jostling and moving of things tuned into a huge mess in my living room! But at least that's over!!!

There were more birthdays and more waterslides and water play. We have definitely stayed busy!  The kids cant get enough of doing tons of stuff, I on the other hand am getting worn out!

Pregnancy Update...

I'm not really sure why it has taken so long for me to actually start documenting the Baby #4 pregnancy, but better late than never right?

We announced to the world in April that we were expecting Baby #4 with THIS VIDEO

I told Seth that I was expecting on Valentines Day 2015. I had known for about a week or two before and it was killing me not telling him. But I wanted it to be a memorable Valentines Day. I had wrapped a pregnancy test to give to him. Of course when he opened it, it was blank. It had faded and so he was really confused. Epic Fail. But when I told him the excitement was there and he was pretty shocked.

As is our custom we usually wait awhile to tell people. We just never want to jinx it. We told the family around 11 weeks and the world a week or two later.

16 Weeks

 

I'm not going to lie. In terms of Pregnancies this has been probably the worst so far. Of course deliveries are a different story but man o man has this one been bad.

Around 14-15 weeks I could start to feel movement which is always such a miracle and always a reminder that life is beautiful.

I had severe nausea up until about 18 weeks. Every pregnancy I have had bad nausea but I never puke. I just want to desperately. I cant even if a I try. I would have the occasional dry heave but mostly nasty nausea.

This time no matter if I had food in my stomach or not I would just dry heave, over and over again. ALL. THE. TIME. Mostly it hit at night but there were several instances where I would be triggered by a bad smell or something that I thought was gross. It would sometimes hit when I was driving which was terrible. There wasn't really anything that helped. The doctor prescribed me some pills, but as it turned out they gave me severe headaches.

Poor Seth wanted to help and there was nothing to be done but listen to that hot mess.

 

 

20 Weeks

After that subsided, which was wonderful, the extra poundage started taxing my body. Mostly my feet. They hurt a lot. Now several times a day I have to just sit and rest them. Thankfully they are not swollen but so so so sore and so so so hot all the time. My feet are like heaters when I am pregnant and this pregnancy has been no different. It is miserable to have your feet feel like they are on fire all the time.

Around 20 weeks I could feel the baby much more and its a constant reminder that the body and what it can do are amazing! There is a Tiny Human growing inside me! Isn't it incredible?

 

24 Weeks

 

Then as with all my other pregnancies indigestion sets in. I sometimes wake in the middle of the night and feel my throat on fire and it makes me nauseas. If I lay back down it gets worse. So I usually sit up in the recliner and sleep that way the rest of the night which reeks havoc on my back.

 

Now here I am 24 weeks and I feel the baby a lot more often. Mostly at night but I never have a ton a movement with my babies. But As I sit here and type he/she is doing something inside me that is making me a little sick. Maybe Yoga?

 

Heavenly Father made us so that our bodies could do miraculous things. I am still in awe that I am pregnant, even if it is number 4. Its crazy how the body works. Its amazing how curious the other kids are. Emily is always kissing and hugging the baby. Brigham always refers to the baby as His Brother and with hug and love too. And Abby is always asking How big is the Baby now.

 

Its going to be crazy when this little one comes and changes our family. But so wonderful!

 

This snippet of the sonogram was taken about 22 Weeks. By the way if you cannot tell, we are not finding out the gender....I took Abby with me to the sono and that was a fun and new experience as well.

 

Indy Races

 


Seth and Luke took Abby and Briggs to the Indy Races earlier this month at Texas Motor Speedway. This was their first time and from what I can tell the were in Hog Heaven. The idea of staying up late with Dad and uncle Luke was very appealing combined with super fast and loud cars...what could be better?

I wanted to go but the heat and the amount of walking with this pregnancy seemed daunting. Not to mention Nems is still to little. So she and I stayed home and had some mommy time while the others had way too much fun!!!!

 

According to Seth, Briggs was obsessed with his ear plugs. That's my boy! Safety first! They had people jumping from airplanes before the race which was another fun thing for the kids.

 After the race was thoroughly enjoyed they had a fireworks show! Lucky kids: sky diving, fast cars and fireworks!!! They came home bursting with energy and ready to tell me everything. It was such a fun experience for them. They especially loved spending time with their Dad and Uncle Luke!

Abigail's Baptism

 

June 6th 2015

 

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Abby turned 8 in May. Its a big age for her because she is now able to choose for herself whether she would like to baptized and take upon her covenants and the name of Christ.

She was a little hesitant. Excited but hesitate.  We wanted to make sure it was her decision. She had her interview with the Bishop a few weeks before and he said she was ready. Thus it was all up to her. She decided she did want to be baptized and the day finally came.

She said her stomach felt sick. We tried explaining what nervousness does to your tummy and she understood her nerves were on high alert.

We arrived early at the church to take pictures and get ready as there were 14 other children being baptized as well.

 These girls. Seriously they are so cute. I am glad they love each other so.

 

We sang songs and listened to talks. Then each child was invited up and a biography was read in front of everyone. Abby was pretty embarrassed. She doesn't like to be in front of people. Here is what we wrote for her and what was read...

 

"Abigail is very excited to be baptized today. She has learned so much and feels ready to take upon herself the covenant to be baptism. She loves to listen to scripture stories, children's hymns and enjoys attending senior primary. As Abby explains it,  her favorite  scripture story is  when Jesus heals the blind man with mud.  Abby also likes reading the scriptures to her family at night during family scripture time. Her current favorite songs are "when I am baptized and Give said the little stream"

Abigail loves horses. She wants a horse, wants to be a horse trainer when she grows up, aspires to have 10 horses and is desperate to take horse riding lessons. She also enjoys reading books about horses and puppies. Abby has been taking piano lessons for 2 years now and wants to soon learn how to play a primary song. She likes to go to science at school because it is fun and you get to do lots of experiments.

Abby is a big helper with her little brother and sister and most days is pretty good with them. One time, her little sister Emily who is three was throwing a sad tantrum. Abby took it upon herself to calm her down. She went and got Emily's blanket wrapped it around her and snuggled her on the couch until she was calm. She has a compassionate heart.

She is also a good helper and enjoys helping around the house. She also really enjoys helping others and loves when its our families turn to clean the church.

Overall Abby is a great Kid and is a great example to her younger siblings. We are very proud of her decision to be baptized today. We love you Abigail!"

 Then it was time for the big event. Seth and Abby entered into the waters and he prepared to baptize her. She went under and then a little toe crept up and she had to be baptized again. She was so cute. I have seen many baptisms and felt the spirit. But, when it is your own child there is that moment when the spirit is so strong it overwhelms you. Despite the sort of rush that there is when 14 kids are baptized in those moments it was testified to me through the spirit that what she was doing was right and pleasing to the Lord. When I asked Abby how she felt she said she felt good. I am hoping to coax more out of her...

 After she changed she was then confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and received the Holy Ghost. All the Whitworth men were there and able to join in the circle. It was a very spiritual moment as well. Seth pronounced a beautiful blessing and he was also overcome with the spirit and emotion. How grateful we are for the power of the Priesthood which Seth bares that enables him to act and perform these wonderful ordinances.

Everyone was invited for lunch and Root beer floats after. It was a good time and Abby especially loved the floats!
