Six Months

The time has already come...my baby boy is six months old. Holy cow, how did that happen? It seems like time is just flying with him and he does something new every day. He is getting so big. He went to the doctor at 5 months and he was 18.4 lbs so I am sure he is probably 20lbs by now. My aching back! He didn't even cry when he got a shot either, must be all that extra cushion.

The latest on Gus Gus:

1. He can sit up all by himself. Sometimes he falls but he is really good at it.
2. He HATES FORMULA. Since he is so big and I don't produce much milk we have been trying to give him formula. He hits the bottle out of my hand every time. I have tried 5 different kinds, he either throws it up or wont take it at all.
3. He loves applesauce and Bananas.
4. He thinks Abby is so funny.
5. He is really really stubborn (I have no idea where he got that, must be Seth :))
6. He has already had 2 haircuts and is in need of another.
7. He loves to pull hair and earrings.
8. He doesn't sleep well. He is up a good portion of the night every night.
9. I think he has been teething for at least a month now.
10. He reaches for things all the time. Sometimes so hard his face gets all red.
11. I have already taken him to the doctor for several sick visits including, bronchitis (2 times), pink eye, and a severe cold.
12. He loves TV especially Blues Clues.
13. He loves it when you say "Chugga Chugga Choo Choo"
14. He is really ticklish on his neck and feet.
15. He hates being put down, he screams bloody murder if I put him down to do something.
16. I never had this with Abby but he is a Mamma's boy.
17. He loves to take baths.
18. He is spoiled.
19. He has me wrapped around his fat little paws.
20. He is a wonderful addition to our family.

The rest in picture

OK I am finally done posting about Utah. Here are some of the better pics of the trip. Mostly we stayed inside, visited, helped Codee since she threw out her back, ate, and visited some more. I was grateful to see everyone and especially that my mom and grandma made the trip up from Cali to see us.
I look aweful since I was ready to go to bed and that I could not stop laughing. I literally had tears running down my face in the pic.

Marching for babies

Hey all. I have decided to participate in the March of Dimes, March for babies. Inspired by my friend Andi, who is also participating, I decided to try and raise $100 dollars (of course anything over that is great too) to help all the babies we can. The walk is on April 17Th and it will be 3.5 miles. I figure that gives me about 40 days to raise that. If I had known about this before I would have already been participating, nevertheless better late than never. This is a cause near and dear as many of you well know. My sweet little Abby was my preemie and if it weren't for fundraisers like this, medicine could not advance. Please donate anything you can. If everyone donates a dollar it shouldn't take long. Thanks in advance.

Good Eats

I am so behind on things I want to post that yes, I am still posting about Utah despite the fact that we have been home for awhile now. Anyways...while in Utah Briggs got his first taste of food. I have given him rice cereal once or twice but that was it. I gave him squash, and he didn't really like it as you can see from the pictures. He was also not impressed with the girly tight little bib I had on him that was Jensen's or the fact that his hair was dangling in his eyes. It made him look like a fat guy in a little bib (you know like from Tommy boy.) Overall, bad first try. But he does now eat carrots, he loves applesauce and hates sweet peas but can you blame him? I opened the lid with my teeth and some splattered in my mouth and I gaged. Poor kids having to eat that stuff.Unsuspecting...Not impressed

Cousins Cousins Everywhere

We had the chance to see a lot of family while in Utah. Regrettably I didn't take picture of everyone but here are a few that I did capture. There were so many adults and kids to keep track of it got a little crazy when we all crammed ourselves into one house. Its always fun to catch up with family you don't see very often. Abby, Briggs, Jensen and Jamison

Can you believe he is 5 months old she is 8 months. Looks like he could eat her...

Getting to know each other, looks like Jensen isn't to sure about him.

Briggs face is so shiny because it was really chapped so it has lotion on it.

Mornings in Utah

While in Utah we had a lot of lazy mornings. Most days we were in our pajama's until 3 or 4 o'clock. It was so nice. Here are few snippets of our PJ's. Funny Faces Grandma, Jay and the Abby Aunt Cass and Briggs Briggs Jensen

Backfire

Seth and I had planned to go together to Utah with the kids. However, he got his current job the day we were supposed to leave, literally just a few hours before, thus that plan needed to be altered. My sister Cass was going to come anyway so we decided to wait a day and then head out. My original plan was to drive overnight so that the kids would sleep, that backfired completely. We awoke at 2am to make the first leg of the trip to Albuquerque where we would rest in the day and then drive again at night up to Utah. In my dreams I figured we would just lift Abby out of bed and she would go right back to sleep in the car. WRONG! She was bright eyed and bushy tailed, for the first hour she just sat there and was quiet and the beast unveiled herself. She probably screamed, hit, bit, kicked etc... for 3 hours, fell asleep for one and then woke up again until we got to Albuquerque. Where she didn't even sleep in the day time. We opted to leave about 8pm thinking " She is exhausted she will sleep now". WRONG!! She was ready to give another battle. We fought long hours and she finally fell asleep for maybe 45 minutes and engaged battle again. Please know I do love Abby with all my heart, but I truly understood with my lack of sleep and her constant ear splitting scream how someone could leave their child on the side of the road. That said about 2am we gave up, she won the battle but not the war, we stopped and got a motel room and 5 minutes after her head hit the pillow she was out. Figures. Brigham of course as always was a champ and didn't complain much. Needless to say we did not drive at night on the way home.
These are the pictures from our visit with our family in Albuquerque, I somehow neglected to take pictures of everyone there. Sorry to those I left out. We had a nice visit and good company, they are all so funny and I loved spending time with them. My Aunt Betty lives in a house that is directly across the street from a house we used to live in with my grandma. I have very fond memories there and lots off good times were had. So driving up the street it was funny to remember all the events that happened there. However it was sad because the house was in horrible condition, really it should be condemned. It was hard to see a place that once held so much joy and was great in my memories become such an atrocity. Now its hard to picture it the way I remember, sad isn't it.My great Aunt Gerdy and BriggsMy great Uncle Don and Abby

Good News

There are so many things to say. But first of all, Seth found a job and we are so thankful for that. We are very blessed and appreciate everyone who has helped us in our efforts and the many prayers that have been said in our behalf. Also, I am in Utah right now visiting my family and will write about my adventures later.

Rolling Over

As I mentioned in a previous post, Brigham rolled over for the first time on the 24th. He did it front to back and back to front all at once and he did it several times. However I don't think he has done it since, all though I am not home that much anymore so perhaps. Anyway, these are pictures taken that day. He was 4 1/2 months at the time. I tried to get video of the actual roll over but no such luck. However the video is of him being funny.
