FHE...Pumpkins

Yes, we were delayed in our pumpkin carving this year. We just didn't have the time, we had the pumpkin awhile but we never had the oportunity until the day after Halloween. So we carved up Ol' Jack for Family Home Evening on Monday instead. The kids didn't know the differance and we all had a great time. So simple and fun.

Picture Collage

We had our family pictures taken in July, and I finally got some up on the wall. It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do. I really wanted to be more creative but since we are in an apartment I decided something more mellow would be best. Then it took some more time to come up with the money for some frames (luckily these were all cheap) and here is the final product. For a closer look at the pics refer to this post What do you think?

Fun with Neighbors

Several months ago we got some new neighbors. It turns out these neighbors had two kids, a boy and a girl, just a few months older than Abby and Briggs. To top it off they were also LDS. So as you can imagine we became fast friends. We spent a lot of time outside playing together, swimming, scootering, having dinner, playing at the park, going on walks and doing all sorts of fun things. Abby and Molly hit it off and so did the boys. Not to mention Liz and I are the same age and became friends quickly as well.

Unfortunately they moved this past weekend and we are really sad. Abby keeps asking for Molly and doesn't understand why they are never coming back (they moved far away.) Really we made some great friends with the Jenkins. Liz was a life saver several times watching the kids and being a great friend. I hated to see them go because often times she was my sanity in the afternoons of dealing with crazy kids all day. We would open our garages and just let the kids loose as we talked about life with 3 year olds, among other things. All I have to say is I am going to blame them if our new neighbors are not equally as cool. Thanks for the great summer! Painting Fun

Trunk or Treat

Our ward had its Fall Ball and Trunk or Treat on Saturday. Abby was so excited to go and get candy. She couldn't quite grasp why we were going to go and get dressed up and get candy but does it matter when the end result is candy? Not to a 3 year old.
We stopped by my dad and Cindy's really quick so they could see the kids costumes, unfortunately all my pics I took there were no good. The lighting was not good for my camera. We made it to church in the nick of time and we got the kids all set to go. Briggs stayed and passed out candy with Seth and I took Abby around.
Abby was rather timid at first to say "Trick or Treat" and "Thank you" but once she realized that this was all she had to do to have candy thrown in her bucket she turned into Lighting McQueen. She would barely stop to say it. Almost expecting the people to hit a moving target yelling "Trick or Treat." It was really fun since this is the first year we have done anything like it. Of course back at the car Briggs was getting all sorts of compliments.
Afterwords there was a little dance and games. Abby went crazy. She had so much fun. She and her buddy Molly danced and danced. I tried to get Briggsy to dance but I think it was too loud and dark for his liking. Overall it was a good Halloween. Although we did everything on days other than on Halloween (since it was on the Sabbath) but, who cares it was still good times. My dad and the kiddos

Little Miss Tinker Bell Joining the Parade. Abby's Preschool Class

I love this one (mostly because poor little Sponge Bob is Screaming, and it wasn't abby.) That is Abby's Teacher whom she loves!
