The After Party

After Emily's Blessing all the family came over to our house enjoy each other and good food. Including but not limited to bacon wrapped meatballs, tortilla roll ups and chicken and cream cheese stuffed croissants. YUM!
Thanks to my sister in law Lindsay who took the better of the picture on here. We had fun chowing down playing with the kids and goofing around. Good times.

Emily's Blessing

Sunday March 4, 1202 we blessed our little lady at church. Abigail wore her new dress from Grandma and Biggs looked like a stud as well. But the star of the party was Emily. She looked so cute. Originally I was going to have her wear Abigail's dress from her blessing, it looked like it would fit. Then days before I decided to try it on her and it was like "fat guy in a little coat." Thus last minute we had to go get her a dress, again thanks to Grandma. We found it at the first store and it was cheap (both to my liking.) Who knew Dillard's had deals?

We were able to get a few pictures before we left for church. So many Family members came to the blessing and it was great. I am disappointed I didn't get any really of anyone else with Emily in her Dress.

All the Whitworth Uncles (Dan, Curt, Luke) and Grandpa were able to stand in the circle, while Seth gave a beautiful blessing.

The blessing Seth pronounced on Emily really was beautiful. I think it was the first one where I got tears in my eyes. The spirit was very strong. Here are a few of the high lights of what was said in the blessing....

-Blessed with Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father and the Plan of Happiness
-Blessed with strength and service, that as she served the Lord she would have a sound mind and body
-Blessed that she will be given  the things she stood in need of
-Blessed to strengthen those around her
-Blessed to know right from wrong, good from evil
-Blessed to stand for the truth and honer her covenants
-Blessed with a kind heart, soft tongue, feeble mind and to uplift those in need around her.

There was much more said an detail given the blessing and there was no doubt the spirit was with us all. But, those were some of the main points.

After church we had everyone over to our house to spend time with one another on Emily's special day. It was so much fun and the food was delicious. Those pics are to come...

29

I turned 29 last week. The last year of my twenties. I cannot believe it since I feel like I am 15 most days. Then I look around, see my husband and three kids, and know differently. Not to mention my body feels like I am 50. But, here I am hurtling towards 30. When I was 15 I thought 30 was a near death experience, and now that I will be there in a year it doesn't seem that way at all. In  my book its just another year. Crazy!

Seth had gotten up early and picked up some maple glazed eclair donuts that were divine. They were so fresh the glaze was melty. Plus a bouquet of beautiful roses, a home made card from he and kids, and it was a great way to wake up. I spent the day with the kids as Seth was away and then that evening we all went to dinner with my dad and Cindy at my favorite Chinese restaurant Taste of Asia. YUM! We came back home and then feasted on cake and ice cream (can you tell my diet was blown this day?)

My super YUM-O cake that Cindy made

When we asked Abby how old I was by reading the number she said 2G! Guess  she is in the technology era :)

Chowing down on the cake. Love Abby's face.
I got a few gift cards from my dad, Cindy and my sisters. Plus some dough from my Mom and Grandma. It was a good day overall and I am thankful to everyone who remembered. Love you

Seth, Russ (grandpa) and the kids went camping this past weekend. The kids were so excited to go! They went to Dinosaur park to see some real tracks. From what I was told they had a really good time except in the morning when they were too cold for comfort, then again when Brigham grabbed a cactus! I stayed home with Emily but from the looks of these pictures they had a merry time.
