Four!!!

Wow, our gorgeous baby girl is getting so BIG! Here we have yet another birthday to prove it.  This year she had school on her special day and was so excited to take treats to her class. She is a pretty easy going girl and wanted to go get ice cream and chick fil a for dinner. Then we came home and opened presents.  It was simple yet fun just to spend time with her and the family.

She had her 4 year old well child visit and did awesome when getting her 4 shots and got a treat afterwards which was her reward.  I cannot remember her percentiles but I know they were lower somewhere in the 30th I believe for her height and weight.

Emily is a great big sister and loves to kiss and hug Hyrum over and over again.
She is a great helper and listens pretty well. She loves going to preschool and playing with Abby and Briggs. As of late her mischievous side has become more prominent. She gets into everything, she cut her own hair, she sneaks food, writes on anything including tables and furniture, gets caught with  mommies make up, tries to do her own nails while no ones around and much more. Despite all these antics she is so sweet funny and sincere. She keeps us all laughing and smiling with her awesome personality. WE love her so so much!

12 YEARS!

This year Seth and I celebrated 12 years of Marriage. 12 YEARS! That is seriously so crazy to me. That's Kindergarten through Graduating High school!

We have experienced a lot of life together these last 12 years. We both have changed so much over the years and I don't just mean in the waistline. Spending your life with someone changes you. As you grow in a marriage you learn to be more selfless. You learn to consider someones needs before your own. You change in ways that you never imagined as  you live a new life together.

Through life's struggles you become reliant upon each other. Each day presents good, bad and the mundane. Some times long strings of days filled with just one of those things. It is through the highs, lows and middle ground you connect, disconnect and reconnect over and over and over again.

We have built a life with each other where we know the others thoughts, we finish each other's sentences and know just how to irritate one another.

We have 4 beautiful children and a lifetime ahead of us to experience and learn even more than we thought possible. I am so thankful that we have each other to get through it all.

I love you Seth!

Hyrums 1st Haircut

Before
11 weeks old - First Hair Cut

Hyrum's hair was getting a bit out of control. While it is super adorable it was getting rather greasy, most of the time it looked like an old man comb-over and he had mullet in the back.

It broke my  heart to cut it so soon.  I recall waiting to cut Brigham's hair as an infant because he was so young but I look back at all the pictures and curse myself for waiting. This time, I learned. I bit the bullet. He wasn't happy about it. It isnt the most handsome job but it is so much better.

Christmas Morning

Santa has filled the stockings

We had a Christmas Miracle this year, the kids slept until almost 7am! For our kids this really is amazing as almost every day of the week Brigham is up by 530am or earlier. We all basked in the extra time to sleep in. They were all very excited to see that Santa had visited by filling their stockings with all sorts of goodies as well as nail polish for Abby, a ninja turtle for Briggs and a baby for Nems as well as a giant bean bag chair for all.

Discovering their stockings is one of the best part of Christmas for me as a parent. Their stockings contained books, coloring books, candy, winter gear and a few other  misc things.
