Fire Station Fun

Saturday the local fire station had its annual open house. Struggling for things to do we decided to check it out after Abby's soccer game. The kids loved looking at the engines and the ambulance and of course the police car. It took awhile for them to warm up to it. They just wanted to look. But after the second time around they were willing to climb into some of the vehicles. They had a mini train ride which we went on at least 5 times among other things. But, poor Brigham, the fireman put on a clown/puppet show to teach fire safety. I thought the kids would like it. WRONG! Brigham started yelling "Bad Guy" "Bad Guy" and began  crying and shaking. No joke. I have never seen him so afraid. He was literally trembling! I felt awful. I took him out of the room and any time I went near the door he would cling tighter and say "bad guy!" Of course Abigail wasn't too fond of being in there by herself so every few minutes she would pop her head out and be like "mom are you still here." Oh the things that trigger the kids. He was pretty much ruined after that. He woke up that night with nightmares, saying "Bad guy, Hand, Water" Because the clown pretended to burn his hand and the put water on it. Then the next day at nursery they brought him to me crying (which never happens) when I asked him what was wrong he said "Bad Guy, hand, Water" I did neglect to mention that on one of our train rides Abigail s hat flew off. It was melt down city! She began crying immediately. Thankfully, a man sitting right in front of us had one and gave it to her. It was a life saver!

Bliss, suckers and a train ride!

If you look close just at Abby, doesnt she look like she is a model wearing make up? What a pose.

My friend Karen whom we saw there, srtike a pose!

A couple of Karen's kids who sat behind us on one of the rides

Its a miracle we fit!

And old engine. It was really cool

Yes I know, the plug needs to go. But by that point in the day I was done fighting about it.

Hatching a Dinosaur

Yesterday was discovery day at school. It was all about Dinosaurs! Abby loved it. They made Dinosaur eggs that they brought home and "hatched." Abby kept asking and asking to "hatch" her Dinosaur. Even though she knew we had to wait for it to dry. Thus, after her soccer game today (BTW she scored a goal and it was awesome!) that's what she wanted to do. Both she and Brigham thoroughly enjoyed it. It was actually a really cute thing to do and even though it took just a few minutes they were so Happy!

Wrestle Mania and Dad less Madness!

For those who don't know. Seth is in China. This was day one. Crazy kids on the loose. Actually this was a great part of the day, the rest was absolutely horrible. But we are working on it. Tomorrow is day 4 of 15...a long way to go. But we are managing. As with every other day when Seth is home, some are good some are bad. Its to be expected with kids especially with mine :)

The kids have enjoyed Skypeing with Seth. Briggs loves a story called the Black Toe and has sorely missed him telling it at night. So this morning (night for Seth) he told it to Brigham who was so excited. He kept yelling at the top of his lungs BLACK TOE! BLACK TOE!!!  So cute.

Cutie Pies

I cut Brigham's hair this weekend, dawned him in some new duds and couldn't help but take some pictures. He looks so grown up. Of course, Abigail wanted in on the fun, although I didn't attempt to cut her hair. I took her to the salon today. So she isnt as "Fresh." I cannot believe how time is flying by.

I love this silhouette

Abby insisted I take a video of her dancing. She is so funny.

24 and 1/2 weeks

I suppose it is time to start documenting a little bit of this pregnancy. I cannot believe how fast it has flown by. Really its incredible to me. I am already going in for my Glucose test and after that I start seeing the doc every TWO weeks!
I feel like with each pregnancy I get bigger faster, which I am sure is true. My body isn't what it used to be. But thankfully I think I am out of the "wow Lacey has gained some weight" stage and moved into the "Lacey is pregnant" stage.
As far as pregnancy's go, this one hasn't been too bad. For the first several months I was very nauseated. My sister in law loaned me her sea bands, and I think they helped. They didn't take away the urge to run to the bathroom but, it lessened it.
I passed that stage and went into the exhausted phase of "I am growing another human being and that takes a lot out of a person" stage. But, I am bound to be exhausted anyway since I do have 2 other kids and other obligations.
I am still tired but over the past few weeks I have developed pretty bad heart burn which at least gives me hope that this little girl will have some hair. I had really bad heartburn with Briggs and he was hairy, so just maybe she will get lucky! Although I am not fond of waking up almost every night around 2-4am with my stomach acids creeping their way up my throat!
Honestly though, I have been pretty capable so far. Other than that rather nasty bout with bronchitis that is. I feel pretty good. My body is starting to feel some effects. With the extra weight and pressures my feet are hurting more, and my back aches more but I am so excited too. I cannot wait to meet another little tiny person. I cant wait to see who she looks like and see how the kids react to her. I am scared of how things will change. Baby's take a lot of time especially since i'm going to nurse, and I know Briggs will not be fond of that. Although change happens and we will figure it out.
Thats about it at this point. Just going day to day. As I approach the 30 week mark I am nervous that another Preemie baby could happen, although my doctor said the chances of that are slim. I still am constantly looking for signs. Time will tell.
Here I am at 24 1/2 weeks. Soon our little Emily will be here. Cant wait.

Sleeping Handsome

As I have mentioned before Brigham likes to sleep with a baby. Thus when I went to check on him during nap time this is what I found. Doesn't he look peaceful? It makes you want to cuddle up next to him and take a nap as well.

He is so freaking cute sometimes!

Singing (or shall I say playing) in the RAIN!

We have had a massive drought this summer so it was quite the blessing to receive this rain last weekend.  Even though it only lasted a day it was fantastic. When first started raining, we were in the car and Briggs started to freak out. He does the same thing if we go through the car wash. I don't blame him, we haven't seen rain in a long while. So despite it being late and the kids needing baths, we decided to get out of the car and play. The kids LOVED it. The jumped and skipped and ran for about 40 minutes, til it was too dark to see. But it was great to watch them have so much fun!

BFF's

Last year in preschool Abby and Mahlina became friends. Over the summer Jessica, her mom, and I and all the kids have started hanging out. Abby and Mahlina have developed quite the friendship. It is really cute. For the most part they get along really well and love to play together. Unfortunately they are not in the same class this year but we still hang out. Its so sweet to see Abby really start to form friendships. Mahlina even gave Abby a princess necklace (which she adores) that says BFF on it and Mahlina wears a matching one. Too cute.

Dumpster Diver

Last week I threw away an empty box of Nilla wafers. 10 minutes later I find this little bandit digging in the trash holding the bag up in the air dumping all the crumbs into his mouth! This is his mugshot.

This is a classic pic, Jabba Brigham
See all the crumbs?
So happy to have gone unnoticed
