We really didn't do much in way of a party for Emily this year. With Christmas and other family birthdays its hard to celebrate big.  Mainly I spent the day with her, we went to her doctors appointment, she and I had lunch then when everyone came home from school and work we made cake and ate dinner.
 She loved it.

Getting ready to sing happy birthday!

After her cake she opened her present. She was so happy as you can see in the pictures. It was a Sofia the First amulet. It talks and everything. She wore it the whole night. It was perfect because a few days later she purchased  a Sofia the First dress with a gift card she got from grandma Jody and grandpa Ron. This little doll was in heaven.

There is too much to be said about Emily. These last three years have been crazy and fun with her in our family. She makes us all laugh and keeps us smiling with all of her adorable antics. She loves to sing and dance. Loves it! She knows so many songs and there is usually a dance party when we are driving. She is really smart and she tries her best to keep up with Abby and Brigham. She potty trained when she was about 2 and a half which was amazing and she has been great about it since. She enjoys playing with everyone and Maggie, she loves animals for looking but not to touch, unless its Maggie. She is still really attached to her blanket and plug but the plug is on its way out which she is not Happy about.
She desperately wants to go to preschool like Brigham and likes going to nursery at Church. Dresses, shoes, purses, she has to have them. She is constantly changing her wardrobe to be like me or Abby or just to change. This girl is just that ALL Girl!  She makes up dances, loves to watch TV, jump on the trampoline or just be crazy. She is always up to something mischievous. She loves to eat and have fun and she loves her family. We all love Nems so very much. She has a special spot in all our hearts and we all adore her even Brigham :) Happy birthday Little Nemmy Nu.

The Perot Museum

The last act of Christmas break was going to the Perot Museum with grandma and cousins.  We only visited a portion of it and the kids had a blast. There are a lot of "hands on" activities and plenty of things to do. Fun for all ages really.

In one section you can choose to race certain things like an athlete, whale, dinosaur, cheetah and more. They spent a good portion of time racing things. Ella and Briggs went to Race the T-Rex and once he appeared they both kinda freaked out. They wouldn't run and slowly backed away. From then on Brigham pronounced he would only race humans. It was rather comical.

Discovering animals
You can preform a particular sports action and then watch it frame by frame compared to a professional. It was really cool. This is Emily kicking a soccer ball.

Brigham also wanted to do a soccer kick. He looks pretty awesome. He also looks like Gumby.

Too many kids to try and get a good picture.

11 Years

11 Years:

3 Kids
6 Moves
4 Jobs
8 Vehicles
5 Wards
2 Job loses
5 surgery's

And so many more...

Early January we celebrated 11 Years of marriage. Seth took the day off work and he and I went and spent some time in the Temple. That's where it all began with our sealing for time and eternity and we were able to preform that work for others. It was a wonderful day filled with the spirit.
Later that night we went to dinner at Salt grass, he let me roam sam moon without complaint and then we ended with Bahama bucks! It was a nice end to our evening.

We have had lots of change in our 11 years. Much joy and some sadness. We have witnessed changes in ourselves and each other and our marriage has done the same. We watch our tiny humans grow and mature and wonder where all the time has gone. Sometimes it feels like yesterday that Seth asked me to marry him, some days it feels like 60 years ago.  Each day is new and different. Each day is an opportunity for our love and our marriage to develop, change, be challenged and to be strengthened.

11 years have passed and we have an eternity to figure out what we do not already know. I am thankful for Seth as a Husband and Father. I am thankful for all he does in our family and being our rock. I love you so! Happy 11 years!

New Years Eve

Ready to bring in the new year

The new year is upon us and what do we do? Party of course...for as long as we lasted that is. I believe it was around 10:15pm but for my kids that's really late! We were invited to a party by some good friends. There were several families and lots of fun things planned. Seriously I was totally impressed especially since it was kind of a last minute party.
Totally adorable

We had a taco bar with all sorts of dips and treats. There was a place to take pictures, a room just for the kids to play in, dance parties, wii playing, bingo, catchphrase, silly sting fights and so much more. The kids had the time of their lives. It was a bit crazy but totally worth it.

He didn't want to let go of the balloon

My silly family!!
She had blown up balloons that were to be popped at specific times in the night. Inside was a number that corresponded to a bag with an activity in it. This kids could not wait for the balloon pooping moments.

I wish this video was better, but Emily was getting her DANCE on! It was soooo cute and funny. We all were having a good time.

Wall Redesign

For the last 5 years as you can see HERE   I have had the same layout for my family pictures on my wall. I have been wanting to change it up for awhile and with our recent family picture photo shoot, it was the perfect opportunity to so.

This was the old lay out.

It looks tiny but really took up a lot of space

This is the new layout! My walls look brown because the lighting was bad but they are actually gray.  I wanted to still keep it simple and use what I already had. I added 6 more frames of a different color and just went at it. I messed around with a few layouts on the floor and finally settled on this. I love it!

Christmas Day!

Santa came!
Christmas day was finally upon us and the kids were beyond excited. Just 3 minutes after midnight Brigham runs into our room declaring Santa had come! It was quite the night after that. Someone was up every 30 minutes asking if it was time to get up yet. Finally at 630am Seth and I relented and the craziness of opening presents ensued.

Santa leaves one unopened present for each child and a stocking full of goodies. All ready to be opened.

Brigham was so so so excited. Here is just a short video of the very first part of the morning. My favorite is the very end.

Abigials main gift from Santa was this art kit. She loved it!! She also got a puzzle, water bottle, candy, socks, journal, book, movie, nail polish and chap stick from Santa. He must know her well.

Brigams main Santa gift was 2 big dinosaurs; he also got from Santa a puzzle, journal, movies, candy, water bottle, hair gel, colored pencils and a few other little things.

After all the presents were opened our house was a bit of a war zone. It was a bit of madness but they were having so much fun!

Snuggling the blanket from Great Grandma
In the afternoon after we all settled down and got dressed. We headed to Seth's parents house for dinner. We had some delicious steak and shrimp. The kids played and told everyone everything they got.

This little dude has been really into puzzles lately.
