Hot, Hot, Hot

I think we are somewhere in 45 straight days of over 100 degrees. Its HOT! We drove by a sign the other day that said 116, I think that's ridiculous. So we spend a lot of the time at the pool and the splash park which are also hot but somewhat refreshing. We did get a cooling the other day to 106, what a relief right?

Brigham and Babies

Seth put the kids to bed the other night while I went to the store. Since the kids share a room usually we put Briggs down first and a little later we put Abby down. So he put Brigham to sleep and he said when he went to lay Abigail down this is what he found. Silly little boy. He loves baby dolls.

Back Track Again...Luke's Homecoming

Soon after our return from Utah we were headed to the airport again to welcome home my brother in law Luke. He has been serving a mission in England for the past two years and has been sorely missed. Everyone was eager for his arrival so there was quite the crowd when he arrived. As I said in the previous post our family has grown quite a bit and he hadn't met many of the little ones. I am sure it was strange for him. Its great to have him back especially because he talks like an Englishman!

Finally seeing mom. Or would he say Mum?

The Newest Whitworth

The Whitworth family has grown exponentially this year. We have had many additions to the family and here is the newest one. This is Hannah, daughter to my brother and sister in law Dan and Lindsay. We were able to see her on her second day of life. She was born in the wee hours of the morning on July 25th and made quite the entrance with a very quick birth. She is a little doll and looks just like her mom. Its hard to imagine that we will have another one of these precious baby's soon. Welcome Hannah!

Back Track

The Two weeks prior to our Utah trip were spent at swim lessons. Abigail was in level one and I took a mommy and me class with Brigham. Because I was in the lessons this year with Briggs there wasn't much opportunity to take pictures. The last day of lessons is "fun day" and I was able to snag some then. Abby really excelled this year and has turned into a little fish. She passed her class with flying colors and can actually swim pretty well for a four year old. Briggs loved it too. He is a water baby deluxe. He has no problem going under water or jumping off things. Yesterday we were at a friends house swimming and he was jumping off the diving board all by himself. Such the little man. Abby's greatest accomplishment, at least to her, is she can now go down the big slide. You cannot go down it unless you can swim from the bottom of it to the side or out of the pool. Which she now can and it is the greatest thing ever.
After lessons Briggs was trying to head to the slide. He was very upset that he couldn't go down.
Thumbs Up!

Utah- Days 6 and 7

Our trip had to come to an end eventually. By day 6 we were all pooped. Seriously I don't have any pictures from that day because we laid around and did nothing. My mom did take the kids over to play at aunt Kelly's, thankfully. After the kids went to bed Cass, Code and I went and saw a late night dollar movie. Note to self: never go to a dollar movie near BYU late on a Saturday night. I have never seen a theatre so packed, with people looking for 15 cents.
Our last day was Sunday, we spent most of the day getting ready to leave. My brother in law Randy made some pancakes for breakfast as you can see on Briggs face. Some other family members dropped by to say their farewells. It was a great and exhausting trip. I don't know how or when we will be able to make it back but hopefully its soon :)
See the exhaustion?

This is a snippet of Briggs and Jentz, they pretty much went the rounds the whole time we were there.

Utah- Day 5

On Friday we were able to meet up again with my long lost sister Megan and her kids. We hit the park near Codee's house. Again, another beautiful park. Do they even have ugly ones in Utah? The kids played well and of course stopped every other second for a snack (well at least mine did.) It was good times although it was hotter than we expected so weren't as prepared. But over all again we had another visit and then we went back to Codee's house for more fun.Briggs hanging on for dear life

Then Later that night we had another massive family gathering. We had a Mexican dinner night at my uncle teddy's new house. The kids just loved running around in the open space. He has a great place for big families. The weather was great and we all ate outside looking at their wonderful view. Good Times.
