Utah-Part 3, The final days

Continuing- We stayed up Late Friday night and went to bed, about 3 seconds after I laid down I felt incredibly sick, popped up and ran to the bathroom. I stayed there for a number of hours that were not very pleasant. I made it through thanks to my mom, Codee and randy. They saw me in a situation that I am sure is burned in their memories(sorry) -Back story, prior to my arrival this sickness swept through Codees house and was thought to have gone...needless say it wasn't. It was horrible and left me pretty useless the entire next day. Thankfully Emily never got it. But my mom and Randy fell ill the next night as well.

It was unfortunate since I had plans with another Bestie the next day that did not happen. But she did brave entering the house later that night to visit, even though I looked like death and was pretty cloudy in my thoughts. But I was thankful for that visit, no pictures were allowed by me. Its hard to only  visit your best friends in years, rather than days, weeks or even months....

The next day was Sunday and we headed to church then off to a family get together that my Aunt and Uncle hosted with yummy food and good times. Then it was time to head home. It was short and sweet but worth the visit!

Utah-Part 2

Grandma Jody, Nems and Jenny
Continuing my adventure in Utah- The next day, Friday, we pretty much just hung out and visited all day. People  dropped by here and there and we stayed up late visiting, chatting and taking pictures. Emily was the little star attraction given that no one had met her but my mom. She used her charms on everyone and cast her spell upon all who laid eyes on her.

Utah- Part 1

Soon after our trip to Houston  Emily and I headed to Utah. We have been wanting to visit for some time. We were supposed to go up there the week before Seth got his new job, then of course we couldn't (for good reason). Thus, I was disappointed. My sisters had never met Emily and it had been over a year since I saw Codee's family and of course my extended family. I would love for Seth and the kids to come but it wasn't in the cards.

Thankfully our Texas family was willing to take care of Abby and Briggs while I was gone. Thanks again for that! We left on Wednesday and it was a long day. I had a scheduled layover in Denver. Then we we were about to take off and the engine wouldn't work. We headed back to the gate, stayed on the plane for another hour and then deplaned and waited another 2 hours. Thankfully Emily was a super trooper!!!!

The next day, I visited one of my best friends Liz and her kids. We met up at Cabelas and let the kids wander around while we visited. We also ate lunch there which was surprisingly good. It was fantastic to see her. It made me want her as my neighbor again :(

Then that night my Mom, Grandma and Aunt Karen drove up from California to see Emily too since my Aunt Karen and Gram haven't met her either. Here are a few snap shots from the day...

Family Reunion Part 2

Pool Fun
We spent the good part of Saturday taking pictures and swimming in the pool. The kids had a blast. It was hot and the pool was a welcome part of the day. Again we all stuffed our faces and wore ourselves to a nub. Although I wish I had taken more pictures of the adults. However Seth's uncle David did take a big group shot of all in attendance and hopefully we will get that soon.

The last day we all woke up early and headed to the Summerwood ward. We stayed for sacrament and headed back for a final meal and goodbyes. It was a great weekend and we are still recuperating.
