Three!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Three!
Happy Birthday Brigham. Three years have past since this little dude was brought into this world.  If you want to see some pictures of that great day click HERE

The Weekend before his birthday we celebrated with a pancake breakfast. We wanted to do something a  different so we did a  pancake bar; and instead of a cake we stuck a candle in his pancakes and sang to him over those. It actually turned out really well and I anticipate doing more in the future.

We ate, played outside, opened presents and enjoyed the company. Brigham made out like a bandit as usual and was rather comical to watch as he opened presents. It was a good day.

Emily all dolled up for the party

Brigham at age three is something else. I think he finally hit the terrible twos about 3 months ago, and now is blazing a trail into the horrific threes! Good thing he is so cute. We have his well child in a few weeks so we will get his stats then.....but here are a few tidbits about our little guy...

1. He loves to be naked
2. He is working on potty training and he loves to wear his undies when at home.
3. Briggs started preschool and he has transitioned well
4. He loves to sing and dance.
5. Unfortunately  he knows he is cute and tries to use it to his advantage.
6. He has an insatiable appetite
7. Everyday he asks to go to Grandmas or Papa and Nana's
8. He is learning to ride a bike
9.  He loves to say the prayer
10. Every night he wants me to tell him Goldilocks and the three bears
11. He is very athletic
12. He loves animals and likes to play ponies with Abby
13. He is a good Big brother
14. He misses Abby when she is at school
15. He is a daddy's boy...still
16. Whenever we leave the house he wants to wear a hat
17. His vocabulary is increasing and it amazes me some of the things that come out of his mouth
18. When he talks to Emily he always uses a very high pitch
19. He is a afraid of a lot of things, the list is too long to name
20. Still, is the most loved boy in the world!

Soccer

Brigham had his first Soccer practice this week. He was so excited and he was so cute! Of course the extra small shin guards were to big and we couldn't find any cleats his size, but he did it. He seemed a little out of sorts and mainly just wanted to watch but he did good. He is the youngest on the team since its for 3 and 4 year olds and he is still two. But he will be three before the first game so they let him play.
Ready to go
Its boys and girls and everyone seems really nice so far. Its been hard toting kids here there and everywhere especially since Seth has been gone for two weeks and will  be gone another two weeks but they love it, so I guess I will try too as well. I asked Abby if she wanted to play this season. Repeatedly. Every time I got "No mom, you have to run too much and I don't like to play in the games!" I told her she wasn't allowed to complain when Brigham started. Of course she did and wanted to participate in his practice. We are gonna have to work on that as well.

What?

Thinking, notice the lack of soccer socks? It was much too hot for those.

Brigham's First day of Preschool!

Here it is. The time has come. Brigham is officially in preschool! Yes, he is still two, however he turns three next week and will be so bored on most of the days Abby's in school, so we signed him up. He loved it. He was tired but he did great. It wasn't nearly the battle I anticipated. We got there early so the teacher was able to completely distract him and I was gone. Its sad he is growing up.  But what a great thing to do only twice a week. He has two teachers that are there all day and there are only seven kids. They have a very scheduled day and I am impressed already with this organization (its different than the one Abby attended.)

What a big man! He was so excited to have a lunch box and a nap mat. He is currently in a "hat wearing" phase and insisted on wearing one. He was so funny, when i dropped Abby at school he was screaming at me because he wanted  out too!
Mom really,  a thumbs up?

Being cute

ITs too heavy!

Kinder!!!! Its finally HERE!!!

Kinder here I come
On the 27th of August Abigail embarked on her journey for the next 13 years plus of schooling. I cannot believe its here. Kindergarten!  Wasn't it just yesterday that this little 3lb baby was born? It felt like it this day, maybe not so much other days, but this day for sure! I was sad at first but then she started acting up and that wiped that away. She was so excited to go and asked so many, so many, so many questions.
Mom!
The drop off was a little rough. Seth was out of town so I had to drag everyone inside with me. It was the madness of the first day of school and there were people everywhere. This does not bode well for Abby. Change is hard, crowds are hard, loud noises are hard. Needless to say once we headed inside it all went down hill. She didn't want to line up with her class before school without me there. She refused to follow her teacher to her classroom without clinging to my side and then yelled at me a few times. Again, her anxiety's mentioned above usually manifest as anger and violence...arn't I lucky? Not to mention, I had Emily in my arms and Brigham throwing a fit about the stroller to add to the experience.
She looks so old
Once we finally made it to class, she was really upset.  She wasn't seated near her friend Ashley so she put her angry eyes on, and almost cried. I managed to get her into her seat, and distracted. All the while she was burning my skin with her death stare. Thankfully I made it out of there in once piece and she didnt yell at me as I left, which was a plus. However, once outside Brigham decided it was his turn to act up and so he screamed and flopped his way to the car while I wrangled Emily.
Cheese!
Thankfully, she had a good first day. She liked her teacher and of course lunch time. She actually behaved really well after school which I was not anticipating. As the days pass she will be more comfortable in her new school and routine. I am excited for her to learn and grown and mature as she goes on this path. Its a long day, and its new, but we will make it through. Despite all that, I am proud of her. Honestly I was anticipating an even bigger battle so, I call it a win!
Let me in the picture mom
