Road Trippin

I've been wanting to make a trip to Utah this summer. However, after a few failed attempts at planning, I figured it wasn’t going to happen.  But in the end we finally made it work.  Seth was able to drive us up there and then fly to a job site from Utah. Then on the way home he did the reverse.

We went for 2 weeks and had a fantastic and crazy time as you will see in the many posts to follow.

We drove overnight, the only way to do it with kids, and made it in 18 hours. It was long, hard and extremely tiring. But we made it. Considering the length of time it takes to get there the kids were pretty good, the trip home is a different story but, we did it.

Almost there and really excited!

Emily Reading

A little disgruntled and ready to be there.
On the final diaper change stop we actually got out to stretch our legs. We were literally less than an hour from our destination but we couldn't resist looking at the beautiful surroundings.

Seth and Nems

I was a little freaked out that they were so close. You cannot see it but there was a significant drop right there.

Not wanting to get back in the car

Emily decided she wanted to drive the rest of the way there.

Little Swimmers

I thought because Abby and Brigham were both taking swim lessons, Brigham would do well. Because of his age this was the first year he could participate in them. I WAS WRONG!!! Out of the 8 days of lesson he participated 3. The first day was fine then after that it was all down hill. Each day he came home crying and screaming and driving me mad!

I had Emily too, so I couldn't really do much. But I was finally sick of it the second to last day. I handed Emily off to a friend and I was on a mission. Brigham was screaming and clawing at me while I had him in my lap. The teacher tried to coax him in with no luck. So I said "I'm gonna throw him in" she looked at me a little cautiously and then I said "no, I'm serious, I'm gonna throw him in" amidst him screaming, I chucked him in.
Each time he came back with a smile on his face then the process would repeat itself. I threw him in screaming and flailing 5 times!

The next day he went in.

Abby did stellar of course.

18 Months!!!!

Another post where I am absolutely shocked at how fast time has gone by. My baby isn't a baby any more, no matter how hard I try to keep her little she continues to defy me.

This little gal is such a doll. I do believe our family is smitten by her. She is so loving and is constantly kissing and hugging you. She is silly too.

18 month (As of July 6th) stats:
Weight 21 lbs (37%)
Height 31in (22%)
Head Circumference 46.6cm (56%)

Some things about our little angel baby:

1. She loves to sing and dance.
2. She completed physical therapy with flying colors and is about to be done with speech therapy.
3. She loves to kiss, like really kiss you.
4. She is finally in Nursery at Church. Hallelujah! She went in with no problems
5. Most times she will come and tell you when she has a stinky diaper. She says poo poo and then turns around to be checked.

6. Teething has not been her friend. I think she has been my worst teether. But she has around 10 teeth now.
7. She loves juice.
8. Her tubes in her ears fell out a few months ago...she has had several ear infections since. We are exploring different avenues to try and get her healthy full time.
9. She LOVES babies!
10. Emily loves to be outside playing, she screams if the door opens and she cannot go out.

 11. She is so funny, she is always doing weird silly things.
12. She loves to try and be like Abby and Brigham
13. She is a screamer.
14. She is constantly moving. She. Never. Stops. She's  into everything and I'm always running after her.
15.Snuggles: you want em, shes got em.

 16. She puts everything in her mouth! It drives me nuts!
17. We call her Nems, Nemmy, Nemmy Nu Nu, Angel Baby,  Nemmers Etc.
18.She drinks a lot. A lot. She has her sippy cup constantly.
19. She recently has decided she hates her car seat and has a conniption fit every time we get in the car.
20. She loves to sing "popcorn popping"
Most of all we love her so. Daily Seth and I comment on how sweet and cute she is. I cannot imagine life with out her. She has made our family so much more full.

Climbing Rocks with Uncle Luke

Abigail loves to do most things. So when Uncle Luke mentioned he would take her rock climbing, there was no forgetting it. He said maybe he would take her Saturday (I didn't think he was serious) and everyday til Saturday she kept asking if uncle Luke was going to take her. Thus when Saturday arrived, the moment she woke up she asked about it. At 7am she called uncle Luke to see. He was wonderful enough to get up at take her. She. LOVED. It. She loved spending alone time with him and she loved the adventure!

4th

This year we spent the 4th at my in laws house.  I think all the neighbors try to out do each other with their individual shows. It was actually a pretty good show. I think this is the latest we have let the kids stay up, on purpose that is. It gets dark so late we kinda had to. They were super grouches the next day but overall it was worth it.
