Happy Thanksgiving

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We all have many things to be thankful for and we should remember the small and simple things in life that we have. Seth and I will be in Oklahoma enjoying some time away with our family and his. We already had Thanksgiving with my side of the family including my Papa Ken who came down for the Cowboy's game, which was nice. So enjoy your Holiday of Thanksgiving....

Reflection

This is so funny, well are least to me anyway. Abby was looking at her refection in the stove and apparently liked it a lot. She did this for about an hour. Just completely amused with herself. This is the best video I could get without her catching me, until the end that is. Once she saw I was taping her she would run right for the camera every time. She loves to see videos of herself they always make her laugh.

Stupid me

So the other day I was getting ready to go to the store when I heard a few knocks on my door. I looked out the peep hole and saw two ladies dressed in "Sunday Clothes" so I opened the door. They were nice and chatty and I saw some scriptures in their hands. I assumed they were from my new ward and they were stopping by to say hi. So when they said I guess you know who we are, I said "Yeah your from church right?" And they said "yes". So I invited them in and we began talking a little bit about being new to the area. Then one of them asked if I had a bible and I said "yeah let me get it" So then they pulled out the pamphlet that I had seen earlier attached to my door and had thrown away.... and that's when it hit me. They are not from my church, and it turns out they were Jehovah Witnesses. Now they were completely nice and we had a good discussion about the bible. But I just keep thinking, "stupid me and my assumptions, they could have been killers dressed for church" I have nothing against them at all and I appreciate that they were trying to share their beliefs (something I should do more of). Apparently one lives in our complex and asked to stop by again, of course I said she could but I also stated I was firm in my beliefs. Overall it was just my luck to completely misread the situation and invite strangers into my house, while I was alone. They must have thought "wow this lady is easy, just lets us right on into her house" I bet they don't get that too often.....At least I thought it was a funny.

Rice Cake Anyone?

So the other day I was in the living room and I could hear Abby playing in the kitchen which typically it fine. I was positive there wasn't anything she could really mess up because they were too high or put away. Well, I was wrong. I heard this crinkling sound and I just thought she was playing with the water bottles. But, no she has used the water bottles as a stool, climbed up to the rice cakes and began her investigation. By the time I had peeked in to see what she was doing, this is what I found ...
Abby: "now that I have dumped them everywhere maybe I should stomp on them..."
"Yes that's a good idea I just need to get out of this hole""Well maybe not, they look kinda tasty maybe I will just eat them instead" "Yeah that's a better idea"

"These are pretty good, no wonder dad eats them"

"What mom? Did I do something wrong?...."

Goodbye Park Glen Ward

This may seem a bit odd to those who are not of my faith, but I wanted to say how much I am going to miss my old ward now that we have moved. A ward essentially is the congregation we meet in every week for worship depending on geographic location. Thus I loved this ward. I will miss everyone and everything. I have never felt more at home than I did while attending the ward. I hate to say it but I don't think I will ever find one that will compare. So thanks for all the great times and great people. I never felt alone and there was always a friendly face and helping hands. Thanks for all the support over the years. Hopefully I will be able to stop by from time to time so beware...

I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee...........

Yea, I finally have the Internet again. I have felt so isolated without it in my life. I have frequently asked myself, "How the heck did I function before the Internet?" I do not believe I am alone in that though. So its back, and I have lots of things to post, now I just have to find the time. So I will start with the Halloween pics because Abby was the cutest bumble bee in the whole wide world. I know I checked :) About a month ago I tried the costume on her and she hated it. I was so worried we were not going to get any pictures. So I had her hold it and give it love and who knows if that was the trick or not but on Halloween she acted like the dang thing never gave her any trouble...little butt. So Halloween morning I took her to Seth's office in the morning so his family and co-workers could see what a wonderful bee she made. Then that night we dressed her up again and took about 1000 pictures and went trick or treating to 3 houses near my dad and Cindy's. Who of course loved it as much as we did. Enjoy...

New post and pics soon

I have so many pictures from Halloween and Abby's antics to share but my access is very limited right now to the Internet and by that I mean non-existent at home. So hopefully I will be up and running soon with all the adorable and not so adorable things of life. Please keep checking.

Pumpkin Patch

Some pictures from the Pumpkin patch. Abby had so much fun. She ran among the pumpkins like a wild child and loved touching everything. It was fun because they had a little town to play in as well.

This was so funny because she was running and running and I could not get her to sit down for a picture and then I turned to talk to my friend Maegen and I turned back and of all the pumpkins she must have like this one because she was just sitting there with her arm around it. It was so funny like she was looking for that particular pumpkin all along.

This is the bounce house and she promptly bit the dust. Thus we were not in it long.

They had a cute little staged area that was perfect for pictures I took about sixty and this is the one where she sat still the longest.

Abby loves animals and she loved this little donkey. She was just laughing and laughing every time the dang thing licked me. It was actually a really nice donkey and I was expecting the voice of Eddie Murphy to make him start talking.
