The new addition

After much waiting the new addition to the Whitworth clan has arrived she was born 3/26/2009 and her name is Isabelle. She is so freaking cute and has more hair than Abby, and she is only a day old. She was 8lbs 4ounces. Both mom and baby are recovering well. We're glad that Abigail isn't the only grand baby anymore. Welcome to the world Izzy. Curt (Seth's brother) and Natalie are the parents, for those who dont know...

Once again, more Abigail

She is still in her Jammies and was wearing it.

An outing at the park
Just another silly video of Abby. If you listen you can hear her saying Two, Two as in One, Two, Three. Eventually she was saying three but of course that did not make the video. She sometimes falls like this on the hard floor as well as off the coffee table to the couch. She likes to scare me.

Phone Pics

The quality of these pictures is not that great, but it is what it is. What do you expect from a cheap phone. Anyway here are some recent ones. This is at the park today. It was so hot and I think we both got sunburned. She also got licked all over by a pit bull and took a tumble down the stairs. This is a new discovery...she just grabbed the bar and started swinging away like a little muscle woman. It scared me to death at first because I wasn't that close but after that I was fine. It was funny because another mother was standing close when she was doing it and thought she was falling and reached out to catch her. Another time.
Looking for squirrels
This is a few weeks ago at the botanic gardens in Ft Worth, she did not want to have her pic taken, she was more interested in the turtles.
Sitting on the log and showing me where her teeth are.

All Abigail

Abby never ceases to do super cute things. The other day she was playing in her room and I had noticed she was very quiet. So I peaked in and found she and her baby rocking in the glider. The next day I found her the same way only that time she had a blanket on them both. No picture though.

She also loves to push this baby, named creepy, around in the stroller. But she also has to have her purse. She adjusts the baby, gets her purse, tells me bye and gives me kisses, then proceeds to walk around the house. Then this is repeated on every passing. Because, of course the purse has fallen off her shoulder and the baby has some how made her way out of the stroller.
This is also funny, Abby and I sing a lot mostly me singing and Abby making movements with her arms. Last night I found out she loves the foolish man and wise man song from the children's hymn book. We sang it about 50 times, however each time Abby would say Da Da waiting for Seth to watch. Soon if he turned away again, Da Da, and eventually she was throwing a fit if he was not giving her his undivided attention while we were putting on our show. It was so cute to see how much she wanted Seth's attention. Unfortunately there is no video of this.

Randomness

This week has been pretty typical, ....uneventful. But here are a few snapshots.

Today Abby was helping me with the laundry and she knows how to take the lint our of the lint trap. Not well, but she gets the idea. Typically I give it to her and she puts it in the trash. But today, she grabbed a big handful and shoved it in her mouth. I gaged. There is nothing like a big slobbery lint ball. Abby didn't like it much either.

Then just preceding that, I was doing the dishes, the water was running and Abby was in the kitchen with me. I keep a two and a half gallon jug of water on the counter. Usually it is pushed back so she cannot reach it, not today. All the sudden I hear Abby sobbing and screaming, not the normal stuff the actual "I'm scared cry" so I turn around and she somehow pulled the spout out and was getting drenched in water. Needless to say I wouldn't be surprised if sometime soon I find her in there with her clothes off trying to take a shower.

So if you count those things that happened eventful then that sums up my week.

Abby during her nap

I took like 40 pic like this and in every one Abby has this same dead pan face.

25 Things....About us

I saw this on a friends blog and had fun reading it so maybe someone will enjoy this too. Remember I, Lacey am the author so anything said about anyone is from my perspective. I think Seth would agree but just in case, there is a disclaimer.
Lacey:
1. My real name is Michelle, I just go by Lacey. (Totally kidding, I just wanted to make sure you were paying attention)
2. I love to read.
3. When I was younger I collected baseball cards, among other things. I still have them and wonder if someday they will make me rich.
4. I have 3 herniated and deflated discs in my back.

7. I probably kiss Abby on average of 1000 times a day.
8. I enjoy working out, it makes me feel like I have accomplished something.

10. People often think I am in high school and ask if Abby is either my sister or if I am babysitting.
11. I am closer to 30 than I am to 20 :(
12. I drink a lot of water, I really don't like soda all that much. Plus its good for you.

23. Someday I hope to live on some land with chickens, horses, a garden and all that jazz.
24. I had twin blocks when I was in Junior high (to help my overbite) and one time my teacher thought I was eating something. I told her I was not. She kept telling me to spit it out and in front of the whole class I had to take out the twin blocks and prove to her I wasn't lying.

Abigail

I know it seems like all I post about is Abby, which is true. But, she is the main thing happening in my life at all times so how could I not post about her. Its amazing how fast she is growing and learning new things. I think she learns a new word every day. Some of these include: store, toast, nose, knee, popcorn, cracker, teeth, cold and the list goes on. She also says things like Bye bye momma which is so bloody cute! The other day I walked into where the computer is and she was just sitting there, like in the previous post. But I had to set her up there, now she can do it by herself. Now all she wants to do is watch Backyardagains, she points to the TV and grunts and I say Backyardagains and she grunts again to agree. They sure do grow up fast.

This is her other new past time, lay on the baby, and have mom put the blaket over them. Over and over and over and over.....

Like Father like Daughter

Just like her daddy, Abby loves the computer. She likes to sit and pretend she is doing business. She also really loves to watch videos of herself and could do it for hours. Sometimes I walk in and she and Seth are just chilling surfing the net. Gotta love it.
