Superman

Brigham has these Superman jammies, cape included, that he likes to wear. On this particular evening he was being extra cute. He was running around pretending to fly yelling "Power" and "I got Power". Love it!

Hahahahahah this face.

W.T.- but who cares.

We have this inflatable pool that my mother in law gave us for Abigail's birthday. It has been a hit ever since. I feel kinda W. T. when they play in it because I can hear the neighbors splashing away in their luxurious pool. Not to mention this one gets filled with grass in a matter of seconds, but the kids LOVE it. Its also probably the only way the grass will get watered, by dumping out the pool when we are done!  They mostly jump in and out and all around. On occasion they like to put on their goggles and "swim" which is particularly funny. But its nice because I don't have to get in with them. I sit with Emily and watch from the shade of the porch. They love to have their friends over and play in it as well. Good times.

Backyard Performers.

Sometimes the kids like to put on little shows in the backyard. They take turns on the "pedestal" and sing their little hearts out. I am sure our neighbors love the loud obnoxious singing, but hey its cute. Well at least I think so.

This is Brighams version of  "I am trying to be like Jesus"

Cousins

A few weeks ago we had a Whitworth family get together to say goodbye to Christy before she left for Ireland to be with her family. Its always pretty chaotic when everyone is one place due to lots of people and lots of little kids. But there is never lack of entertainment. Here are a few pictures which I stole from my sister in law Lindsay's blog.

Memorial Day

This years memorial day weekend was a good one. On Saturday we went up to Seth's friends house near McKinney and enjoyed a really good BBQ with a lot of good people. Then on Monday we spent some  time with my Dad and Cindy at Lake Grapevine. We went early to avoid to heat of the afternoon. It was really windy but it was great. I think Brigham pointed out every bird and boat he saw! The kids loved skipping rocks with nana and papa and going on a hike. Abby kept asking if we were going to ride in a boat.

Not to mention my Dad and Cindy made a delicious meal which they had prepared earlier. It was Yum-O! It was nice to be out in nature and spend some time with the family.

Last day of School

After the graduation ceremony Abby had one school day left. It was as fun filled day. As we pulled up she saw the huge inflatable slide and about jumped out of the car to see it. They played games, ate yummy food and were exhausted by the end of the day. Thanks to another kind parent who took pictures though out the day who was kind enough to share.

I love Abby's face in this picture and the fact that she and Fawns "silly" face are very similiar

End of Year program/Preschool Graduation

On May 22nd Abigail had her end of the year program that was followed by a graduation ceremony. Honestly it was a little weird knowing she was done with preschool and next year she will be headed to Kinder. I thought I would be more emotional, but I think that will come out on the first day of kindergarten. I was just so proud of her. Of course when the kids came in Abby was on the opposite side of the stage so the pictures are not as good as I would like.

The theme was "one nation under God" and it was very patriotic. Of course it included some olympic themes as well given that the Olympics are this summer. They did a really good job. We were so proud of Abby that she actually participated in the program.  We had been talking about it with her all week to prepare her. The Christmas program was an utter disaster and we didn't want a repeat on such a special night.

The 4/5 year olds did a few singing numbers which were pretty good.

After the program ended all the graduation kiddos left to change into their more formal attire while the parents got better seats. They had all the kids walk from the back two by two slowly. Abby was holding hands with one of the kids from her class last year. Unfortunately for him Abby did about triple the pace of the other kids and practically dragged him on the stage and off again when it was over. I guess she was eager.

They sang a song and then presented the kids with their "diplomas" It was a short and sweet little ceremony. They even got to keep their class of 2012 tassels. Kinda silly, but cute.

Waiting to be called, thats my girl :)
