Thomas

Last weekend I attempted to take the kids to see Thomas the Train. Since Seth was at school I was a little hesitant since I had no idea where I was going nor what to expect. Nonetheless I went. As we were getting into the car Brigham fell inside the car and put a gash in his head. The kind you are just not sure what to do about. I tried calling Seth to no avail. I then tried my brother in law who is a paramedic, to no avail. So I decided to ere on the side of caution and I took him to care now. The Doctor said it was borderline and thankfully needed no stitches. However since it was really swollen, bleeding and deep in one spot he put him on antibiotics and assigned a topical ointment. Maybe it was a sign I shouldn't have taken the kids to see Thomas.

Skip ahead a few hours and we finally make it to see Thomas. I was under the impression that the festivities around Thomas were free so I didn't take a lot of cash. I figured we could just walk around and look. I was wrong. To even get in the area where the stuff was you had to pay. ( I was later told that you have to pay once the tickets to ride Thomas sold out, which they were when we arrived) Abby was so excited too. When she saw the Thomas bounce house she started giggling, but when I told her we wouldnt be able to go in it she melted down. I was able to take a few pics of the kids on the outside of the festivities. Some others were doing the same, and I set the kids on the tracks and snapped some pictures. Then some man came out and yelled at us because it was a safety hazard even though we were not on the same set of tracks Thomas was on. But we came and went in a very short time. On the way home the kids were upset with the lack of time we spent but there was nothing I could do about it.

Then come to find out on our adventure somewhere along the way I ran over a nail and woke up to a flat tire. Not to mention its in a spot they wont fix and we just bought the tires a few months ago! Sometimes I wonder why I even try.

Zoof

We were able to go to the Zoof (for those who don't speak Abby that means Zoo) last week. Natalie, my sister in law, and her three kids came as well as Cheri my mother in law. We had and excellent time. It was hot and smelly but still it was fun to watch the kids get so excited. Abby asked to see the lion every ten seconds which was hard to accommodate since it is in the back of the Zoo. However when we did eventually see it, we were able to hear it roar and make some other crazy noises. Abby kept asking me why he was coughing. As Natalie pointed out the lion roared the last time we were there. Abby is going to expect a performance every time she goes now. I think Brigham was more enthralled with the birds who kept trying to eat our lunch then with anything else. It was a challenge with stroller wars going on but it was good times. I got such a kick out of the meerkat it was so human like. Look at the picture close I cannot help but laugh when I see it.

Sleepy Heads

My kids are unusual sleepers. Often times I awake with Abby in my bed (several times a night.) Or sometimes Briggs wakes up for no apparent reason and talks late into the night. But, as I have posted before I often find my kids in weird sleeping positions. Here again are three more examples.
Brigham asleep upright in the corner of his crib. Poor exhausted fellow.

The flash woke him up :(
Abby taking over my bed yet again. She sleeps like a frog.

Both legs through the crib. When we moved him he had big red indention's on his legs.

Park Adventures

We have been spending a lot of the time at the park these days. The weather has been great and the kids love it there. Summer is approaching fast which means we are likely to be here most every day. Its amazing how much fun they can have at the same place over and over. I love it because its free and I get some sun. Cant lose.

Up the slide, right?
Ready...set...go!
Siblings
Future driver...watch out!
Briggs loves these steps
Abby loves to push anything in the jogger
Brigham has been attempting these steps for quite some time and he finally accomplished his goal! I love the clapping when he gets across. Can you tell he falls at the end by my gasp?

Growing Up.

These little tykes are growing up so fast. I can barely keep up with writing about them. As of the first of the year Abby is a Sunbeam! I cannot believe she is in primary at church. Although she struggles, I think mostly because I am in there as well, she loves it. My little baby is growing into a little girl. Emphasis on the girl. I don't know what I am going to do about that. Today I asked her if I should wear a particular shirt to church and she replied "no mom its weird." Really? Then while going into church it was windy and kinda rainy and she asked me if the weather was going to ruin her hair!

Brigham is now in Nursery. He passed that landmark day earlier this month. He actually does really well. I was pretty concerned how he would adjust. But, I shouldn't have been. Its wonderful to have him in there but at the same time it just shows me how quickly time slips through our hands. He can say many words now including but not limited to: No, da da, ma ma, Buba (meaning Sippy Cup), Bye Bye, Na na meaning banana, Elmo and more. He can also sign please, more, drink, food and thank you. He loves to climb on things and jump off. The kids is fearless. No matter how many times he attempts to jump off things and bounce he continually thuds time and time again. I need to take him to his wellness visit to get his stats. There are so many things to write about this little guy its hard to think. But, here are a few pics taken before church today.

What a difference a box makes.

Why are boxes so entertaining. The kids played with and danced on these for quite some time. Here are a few minutes of the few hours that were spent with the boxes.

Little Stinker

This guy is always getting into something. We had some brownies the other night and look at what he did....at least he is trying to clean it by eating it right?
Not to mention his love of the pantry. Here he is yet again staking claim to the goods inside.

Helpers

The kids are always grabbing their stools and trying to help in the kitchen. This morning Seth had made some yummy french toast and they were helping with the clean up. As you can see we are all still in our Jammies. They are so funny.

Project Ribbon Board

I have been wanting to make one of these boards for about 2 years now. Thus, I finally decided to do it. However I discovered in the process its probably just cheaper and less time consuming to buy one! I guess you live and learn. I think it turned out pretty well.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I don't get to listen to the radio that often but when I do and I hear this song I cannot help but dance in my car. Seriously, people near me probably think I am quack because I really get down and its even better because the kids dance too....why is it so addicting? This is the best version I could find...
Don't be too embarrassed Seth :)

This version is pretty good too. I think a girl singing is actually better.
