Dallas Temple: Part 1

Little posers
Last week we took the kids to visit the Temple. Abigail is always asking questions about it. When Seth and I go she always wants to come too. I thought it would be a good idea for the kids to see it in person. It is such a beautiful place and the grounds are great for taking pictures. The kids enjoyed it and it was a good teaching experience. We took so many pictures I had to do two posts.

Little Tappers

The kids  have discovered a  new pass time. Tapping. Abby puts on her church shoes, Brigham then does the same and then they go to town in the entry way. Classic.!

Little Sleepers

Yet another post of sleeping people. I never knew there could be so many pictures to be taken of sleeping kids, but in this house they are plentiful. Never are they the same, I suppose that's why I like them so much. Who doesn't love their kids when they are sleeping?
I guess since I post so much of the kids it was my turn also. After a particularly rough night Seth snagged some pictures of Emily and I zonked out.

Then to daughter number two. She is so funny. This night I walked in to find a little basket she had covered with a blanket, placed a baby inside and fell asleep with. Its her own little baby Moses. If you look close there is also a baby for the baby. Abby what a goof.

See the baby for the baby?

Then there is this little stink pot. Could he be any more cute? Seth found him like this. It looks like he was playing zoo before he finally fell to sleep. Of course he is backwards with his feet sticking through the bed frame.

Two Months old

On March 6th Emily turned 2 months old. Time has passed so quickly  lately, its hard to believe. This little lady has been such a blessing to us and we all just adore her. She has thus far been a pretty good girl. Compared to Abigail and Brigham at this age, she is awesome.
She is always grabbing a her head or ear
Two Month Stats:
Weight: 12.1 Lbs 83%
Height: 23 1/2 inches 89%
Head circumference: 38 cm 30% (little noggin)

Strike a pose

She has had some pretty bad baby acne and cradle cap but that's pretty normal. She also does have re-flux but we are managing that. She is a trooper when it comes to her siblings and for the most part handles being handled well.

She loves her pacifier, and it generally does the trick when she is fussy. She has recently really started to smile a lot and it melts my heart, even if it is 3am. She still gets up several times a night but that's life with a baby. Abigail drools, Brigham pukes and Emily poops A LOT... awesome.

Emily is getting really good at lifting her head which is adorable to watch. Little bobble head. She is pretty alert when she is awake and doesn't seem to miss much. She sleeps best when she is with me, on my chest, in my arms or next to me in bed. Which I love, most of the time. I just wish she would sleep in her crib more. We are working on that.
Can you tell we all adore her. She really is so special to our family. I have a soft spot for her and I cannot stand to hear her cry. Although sometimes she has to. I only have so many hands.  Right now she has a few nick names...little lady, emmy lou, little dolly and as Brigham calls her nemily.
I love this girl
She is only 2 months old and already I think she is growing up to fast. Happy two months old princess.

When she is happy she makes this face

So I uploaded this video before I listened to it.... don't mind my terribly annoying mommy talk.

The After Party

After Emily's Blessing all the family came over to our house enjoy each other and good food. Including but not limited to bacon wrapped meatballs, tortilla roll ups and chicken and cream cheese stuffed croissants. YUM!
Thanks to my sister in law Lindsay who took the better of the picture on here. We had fun chowing down playing with the kids and goofing around. Good times.
