This little BIG kid turned 5 on September 11, 2014. I still remember the moment I first met him like it was yesterday. He was such a little handsome baby with thick black hair, chubby cheeks and an adorable face. Want proof ? click HERE  Not much has changed, except the hair. Well and his eyes. They were blue for the longest time and have now transitioned to green.

He had his yearly check up and is doing well growth wise. His hearing and vision were great along with all the other aspects of a well child visit. He weighed 39lbs and fell in the 37% and he was 42.75 inches tall falling in the 46%. He may be small but he is right on target with his growth charts. I have a feeling in the coming years he will jump up in those numbers.

Briggs had a pretty good Birthday this year. He woke up and he and Seth went and got donuts. He had treats at school and some presents in the evening. The Next day grandma and grandpa took him to lunch and bought him some new cowboy apparel per his request. Aunt Christy also contributed so he made out! He loved it. He makes one handsome cowboy.

Waiting on Grandma and Grandpa. He wasn't happy they were late.
Then on Saturday Briggs wanted a French toast breakfast party. So that's what we did! We ate, had the bounce house, opened presents and played with cousins. Then later that afternoon we took him to his first rangers game. He made out like a bandit for his birthday and got lots of great gifts. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the gifts!

Potty Training

She loves her big girl undies
I am seriously so proud of this little girl! I had her wear pull ups for about a week to get used to the potty and the action of pulling her pants up and down. I didn't pressure her. Then the next week we jumped in head first. She has been in big girl undies for almost two weeks with very few accidents! She almost always tells me when she needs to go, usually too much. Its a lot of work, we are probably in the bathroom 20-30 times a day but its so worth it. Both Abby and Briggs trained right at three and she is just over 2 and a half!!! Yay Nems. We are now training to not wet the bed at night, lets hope it goes as smoothly.
Little fashionista

Look at that face. Love her!

Well at least she goes in the toilet. Putting the undies back on is a bit trickier.

Houston

Houston Temple
This year the Whitworth clan had a reunion in Houston during labor day. The main event and reason for the whole get together was that Seth's Aunt Melanie and her family were being sealed in the Houston Temple. It was not something we were going to miss! It was a beautiful and spiritual sealing. A great reminder that our Heavenly Father us because he gives us the blessing of being sealed to our families for eternity. What a great blessing for the Chapman family. We were very lucky to witness your happy day!

After the temple we all hung out at Seth's Uncle Dougs house. Where we were also staying. Thanks again for that:)  We had food and swimming and of course the kids ran around like little crazies.

Mom?

Emily and Lexi had a good time playing and singing together. Such cute little cousin friends. There was also a lot of costume dress up, junk food consuming, Lego building, game playing, shopping and all around good visiting.

What's a family reunion without everyone one on a device?

Brighams new year, new school

Meet the teacher

This year Brigham changed preschools. I really loved his old one and I was really sad to leave it. However it only taught for 2 days a week. With Brigham turning 5 any minute yet not in kindergarten he needed more. He is bored with me and needs more structure. He goes for 5 hours a day 4 times a week. We met his teachers the week before school started. He was so excited. Once we had to go in and meet the teacher the excitement waned and he was not so nice.
Ready to go in
The first day came. He did not want to go. He was pretty grumpy that morning. But once he got his new "cool" backpack on with his new "cool" lunchbox with his new "cool" water bottle he was ready. He wanted to take pictures and go!! He even kept asking me to just drop him off. He didn't want me to go in(which I have to go in and sign him in/out every time.) Still he doesn't like it that I go in with him. Mr. independent. I told him next year he can do it for the rest of his life :( Seriously this kid, I love him so much. I am so happy that he is getting big and ready to take on life. He is a handsome little devil.
He was all about the posing

May favorite of them all

He has watched Abby pose a lot

Emily didn't want left out.

Wanting to walk alone

Inside school
This school is much larger than what we are used to. It has many more classrooms and offers more than the other two that I have experience with. Its a well oiled machine. He is so happy!

He didn't even say goodbye.
