Welcoming Jensen Bell

...The pic is from a phone...
Saturday morning, my sister Codee gave birth to the newest addition to our family; little Jensen Bell. She was 6lbs 14oz and 18 and 1/2 inches long. We all already love her so much, I just wish I could be there to meet her in person. The delivery went well and was quite a different experience then she had with Jamison, which is a good thing. I will let her give all the detail when she is able on her blog.

Welcome to the family!!!!!

Update

Today I had another doctors appointment...and everything is fine, yeah! I had to do the glucose test, and the lady told me not to take longer than 5 minutes to drink it. Little did she know, it was like drinking a melted slushy and it was down the hatch before she could turn around :) It didn't bother me at all. So we are waiting on those results. My blood pressure was good, which is a constant worry. I also had a sonogram to check his growth to see if there was any indication of his growth slowing which is a sign of preeclampsia. All was well there also. He has a big noggin measuring at 28 and 1/2 weeks, I am currently 27 and 1/2 weeks. His legs were measuring at 29 weeks and the fluid all looked good. It was neat to see more of him then just the skeleton. He was more fleshy and was sucking his fingers (great another one). I already know he is going to be the cutest little boy in the world. I feel very thankful that all is going well thus far. I just always keep my fingers crossed.

That's his cute little face with his foot wedged up near it...

Relief...

As many know, we lease out our house in Keller. It was fine for about 6 months until the person leasing it bailed on us without letting us know. Thus, it put major stress into our lives, trying to get it cleaned up and put back into the market so we can get some cash flow. Thankfully it wasn't in horrible condition and just needed a really good scrubbing and a few fixes. Really it hasn't been back on the market too long but essentially, one day was too long for us. But today, we have new tenets!!! Hallelujah!! I cannot tell you what a relief it is. I have been so stressed about it especially with so many hospital bills soon the be arriving. Honestly I don't know how we have been able to cover everything for the past few months, well that's a lie, Heavenly Father definitely blessed us. Its one of those cases of you still have the same amount of money but twice the bills and they still get paid. Miracles do happen. Anyway, I am so relieved. Now its time to decide if we should sue our deserting tenet, if it is really worth the effort to go to small claims to get what he owes. Anyway....

Fun in the Sun

The Next day we spent at Christy's house (Seth's Sister) and had a BBQ and went swimming. We had yummy food and some mean water volleyball going on. Abby likes to swim but she also likes to graze peoples plates and she how much food she can acquire and consume. While we are there Seth likes to give her mini swimming lessons. Trying to get her to kick, go underwater and learn some water basics. She is such a little squirt and the center of attention at most family functions.
Here is a little video of the day spent at Maegans pool. Don't mind the annoying lady's voice in the video, I couldn't get her to shut her mouth :)

25 Weeks

I am officially 25 weeks. People keep asking me to post pictures so here you have it. They are completely scuzzy because I just got home from the gym. Its probably the tightest most pregnant belly revealing shirt I wear. I took this myself with the timer on the camera, not to shabby eh.? Its a little hard to tell with the black shirt and couch behind but I think its the best I can get... I have another Doctors appointment on Friday so I will keep everyone posted. This pregnancy is starting to really ware on me now. My feet are slowly starting to swell and I am more winded after doing regular things. Thus far I have not really felt pregnant but as these thing set in, now I am.
Abby and I were playing in the car while waiting for someone and so I took some random pics.

Austin

Seth, Abby and I decided to head down to Austin to visit his grandparents. In the 5 1/2 years we have been married we have never been, and we thought it was about time. They live in a little town near Austin and have 6 acres of beautiful scenery. It was nice to visit and just relax. We spent time swinging on the porch hoping for rain, eating out, visiting the park, taking walks, visiting the neighbors horses and peacocks, riding the tractor and much more. The first night we got there Juen and Darrell (Seth's Grandparents) were at the temple so we made ourselves at home and took a tour of their property. Abby will do anything but she hates swings. So we put her on the swing the first night and it was awful. But something happened overnight because that is all she wanted to do the whole time. She is now officially addicted to the swing. Abby loved spending time with her great grandparents, it was nice because she took right to them and was always screaming for one of them to rescue her when she was in trouble or wanted to go outside. Seth and I also enjoyed our time there and hope to do it more often.

Surprising Lies

It has been hard for me to keep this a secret for so long, and finally the day came when the truth set me free. Seth had some suspicions because a sibling, who shall remain nameless, slipped and said something. But, I cannot blame her she did have a massive head injury at the time. So in a previous post I said I wasn't going to do anything for Seth's big 30 but,.... I lied. I had been doing some behind the scenes scheming and planning a skydiving trip for the boys. I tried to get all the boys but Curt was not so much inclined to participate. But Dan and Luke were all for it and away they went. I think however, this might have been a bad idea because now they want to do it again and again. Its one expensive hobby. All of them were cool as cucumbers, I think I was the most nervous of the bunch. Seth did get a cool DVD but Its too long to post and I have no Idea how. I did get his landing with my camera, that's at the bottom. Some pics are what I took and others are what the actual videographer took.
They jumped from 10500 feet and they free fell for about 40 seconds.

Health Update

Abby and I have both been to the doctor in the past few days for check ups, here is the current status;
Abby: Officially declared the cutest girl in the world :) 26lbs 12 ounces which is the 25-50 percentile. Height 36 inches, 90-95 percentile and head circumference 19 inches, 50-75 percentile. Her health over all was good and the doctor was really impressed with her height, he could not believe how big she has gotten. She did have to get one shot because we had skipped one in a previous visit, which she did not like. I think that is one of the worst reactions she has had. She was screaming and crying like I wasn't going to ever let her watch backyardigans again!

Lacey: Officially declared a heifer...well by me anyway. My blood pressure is doing well so far. Everything else looks good and the babies heart beat was loud and pumping. I am officially 23 weeks today which is just 7 weeks shy of where I had Abby. Thus my doctor wants to start to keep a bit of a closer eye on me in the weeks to come. He wants to see me again in 3 weeks for a regular visit and in 5 weeks for another sonogram. I guess because in 5 weeks I will be very close to when the preeclampsia hit, the doctor said that you can sometimes see a change in the babies growth if you are getting preeclamptic. So we shall see how that goes. I still take my BP everyday and am constantly looking for any signs of swelling or any of the other symptoms. But overall as of Friday all is well in the womb and with me. I will post a pic soon I just have to remember to take one which is hard with how scatter brained I am these days.

Side note: The other day I was doing laundry and noticed how quite it had gotten. So I went looking for Abby and this is how I found her, sitting in her play stroller, tucked away in a corner staring at the wall ....what a goof.

Ode To Seth

Today is Seth's birthday...the big 30, and because he insisted on me doing nothing for his birthday (which is very hard for me to do) I decided to write something about him down because he absolutely loves when I talk or mention him on the blog :) So to honor his wishes, I didn't get him a single thing and I am pretending its just another day despite my deep urges to do just the opposite.

So 30..... its so young when you actually reach it but when you are younger you think of 30 and death. Now to think that I am married to someone who is 30 is crazy because of course, I am so young and in my prime. But I love the old man still the same. Or as he would say the old codger.

I have known Seth since he was 23 and still just a young buck. Not much has changed since then. He is still the love of my life. He works hard to support his family, which allows me to stay home with Abby and our soon arriving little boy. He goes to school as well, which is a lot to juggle when you have a family and work. I am grateful for all he does for us and the great husband and dad that he is. I am also thankful that he still has all his hair and probably will in 60 years, I think I will go bald before him. Seth is a dreamer and he dreams big, which I am grateful for because I don't have that quality. He loves to ride horses and I can tell how happy he is after he has gone for a long ride. Hopefully someday we will be able to have some. He has a very refined palate for Reece's, he will open one and if its not up to par you will know. I taste it, and it tastes the same as every other one I have had. I also love him because he really does know a lot. He is very smart and knows whats going on in the world too. Also because when I beg he will sit and watch a movie with me, despite all the griping during it, I love that. He is a very accomplished person and we are very proud of him. It doesn't hurt either that he is so handsome! He also understands me and my humor when others do not. Often times things I say get taken the wrong way because I am so blunt and sarcastic. So I am thankful that he laughs at my sometimes inappropriate jokes and attempts to be funny. Seth I remember our first date, when you proposed, the day we got married, the day we had Abby, the days we just laugh and the days where we just sleep. I remember them all like they were yesterday and look forward to the many more events, or lack of events that we have together, because YOU Seth are what make them special and I love you beyond measure!

Happy 30Th birthday~ We love you and glad that you are such a great husband and father.
With love, Lacey, Abby and Baby Boy

....Now I am sure in the years to come he will say, please do something for my birthday and do not write anything on the blog :)

Cowgirls

Cheri bought Abby and Izzy these cute little dresses awhile ago. But because Izzy is growing like a weed soon she wont be able to fit into hers, thus the reason we dressed them up to take some pictures. Izzy was not very pleased about the whole thing, but Abby absolutely enjoyed holding her baby cousin. She loves to say "I hold it" as she did with Izzy.... and everything else. My measly attempt to use photo shop.

Giddy Up!
Izzy had finally has enough!
