Ketchup
Last night we decided to try a new burger place. Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It was OK but we still have others that we like better. But that is beside the point.
I was getting the drinks and near there was the ketchup. They don't have ketchup packets like a normal fast food joint. They have a little pump that you get the ketchup from. I got some Ketchup and of course Abby wanted to carry it back to the table. The place was packed and i didn't want to make a scene plus I was carrying the drinks so against my better judgment I conceded.
Bad Choice. Just a few feet from our table Abby drops the ketchup and of course it goes flying everywhere. Have you ever said this to a stranger? " Excuse me Sir, I am really really sorry but my daughter just dropped the ketchup and a good portion of it landed on your butt" Well I have, and then proceeded to try and direct him to the spot. He then stood and had is wife wipe it off.
How embarrassing.

Gag me with a spoon...
I am sure I am not the only one who thinks their child is disgusting. However, I do feel perhaps Abby is far nastier than anyone I have ever met. Just when I think she cant get any worse she does. Mind you, she sticks her hands and fingers in places they SHOULD NOT be. Nasty. She licks things. She has had fecal issues. So, you would think by now that I am used to her lack of hygiene. Nope.
Today she literally activated my gag reflex. I nearly vomited. I saw her doing a potty dance so I told her to go use the restroom. She did. I heard her go and then flush. I was busy playing with Brigham so I didn't notice right away that she didn't come out.
When I did notice all I heard was Abby playing in water. I figured she was playing in the sink since she has a tendency to do that. So when I came to tell her to stop, much to my shock, dismay, disgust, what have you; Abby's face and hair are completely wet. I caught her with her hands in the toilet using the water therein to wash her face and hair. BARF! Seriously? Did that just happen? I put her into the bath immediately and commenced operation scrub down. She did not understand why she was having to take a bath and why it was so incredibly disgusting.
If boiling your child to disinfect them was not considered child abuse I think perhaps I might have done so.
On the bright side...at least she flushed first.

Nastics
Traslated from Abby speak meaning Gymnastics. Once a week for the past 4 weeks Abby has had gymnastics at the rec center. I was really impressed. I figured it would be some mats out and they would strech and roll around. But I was pleastly surprised to find this was not the case. It was very organized and overall awesome. They had a high bar, rings, a rope, balance beem etc. Being Abby's first class in something organized she struggled a bit. I had to chase her down and stay with her a good portion of the time but the teacher was great and Abby loved it. Now we will see how preschool goes in a few weeks.
The Set up
Doing a back bend
The class after a day of work
Climbing the "mountain"
It even tuckered Briggs out
Waiting for her turn
The balance beam
Abby was a master of the rings and high bar. I was really impressed with her skills and willingness to do things.

The Pictures are in....
I finally had time to post these. Here are a few of my favorites. There are two missing but I couldn't figure out the formatting issues. Anyway if you want to see them all you can visit www.pickleposh.com and click on the clients section. Enter our last name as the password. There are a few on here that are not in the gallery. Overall I am pleased with how they turned out. I am a little disappointed that there isn't a better family shot. However Abby wouldn't sit still for more than 1/2 a second and thus I am sure that's the main reason. There are some that I do really love. Enjoy :)

Briggs
This boy is getting so big I cannot believe he will be one next month! Here are just a few random shots. He really tries hard to climb on things and here he is trying to climb up the back of the couch. It was pretty impressive.

Here he is Handsome as ever and ready for church!

HI-Yah!
He is so fast, before I knew it he was in the bathroom. I guess he was sick of taking pictures.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner
A book in review:
While perusing the book section of Sams club I stumbled upon The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner a book I had heard about but I had no idea it had been published. So of course I bought it, curiosity killed the cat. I am a Stephenie Meyer fan and wanted to see if I would like this one as well as the rest of her books. Which I did! It was a short easy read, I read it in one day. It was entertaining and had me wanting more.
Bree Tanner is a newly made vampire that you first met in Eclipse. She played a very little role and of course we all know it did not end well for her. She probably only took up a few pages of that book but, now having read about her, I am wishing Eclipse had ended differently. This book is a little unlike the Twilight Saga in the fact that it seemed to be a bit more graphic. It was a little hard to read at first. But because the "new vampires" are supposed to be more savage and have an incredible thirst for blood I can understand why it had to come across that way. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been true the characters that she created. Once again she formed a great story line with interesting story development. It was a little predictable because I already knew how it ended for Bree. But, overall it was a fun easy read and I am sure I will read it again. It was a nice supplement to the Twilight Saga. Its always fun be able to see some things from a different perspective.
