On day one of preschool I walk into the room and say;
" Hey Abby how are you" and she then looks at me and says,
"mom, why did you leave me here?"
Overall I am told she did really well, there were no problems. So I should be happy. I had to work yesterday and therefore didn't get to take Abby to school. Grandma did and it seems there was a little less drama on the drop off. I still need to find out how the day went.....

Day 1 of Preschool
Today was Abigail's first day of preschool. We have been so excited for this. She couldn't wait and she desperately needs it. We prepared her as much as possible and went to meet the teacher last week. We have been talking non-stop of how fun it will be and so Abby could hardly sleep last night. She crawled into bed with me about 2 am and then was up for good about 645am. But getting ready turned out to be a challenge, she was being a little pill. I couldn't get her to eat breakfast and she kept asking me if I would stay with her at school. We were a little out of sorts because its been raining cats and dogs here so I had to dig through clothes to find pants. Which, I now know I only have one pair that fit her. We had to find her rain coat (thanks Aunt Codee it was a life saver today) and the umbrella. So we left and found out some of the roads were closed due to the rain, so we were running late. But we made it. With this preschool you have to take them inside and actually sign them in and out so I had to get Briggs, Abby and myself out and try not to get wet. Unsuccessful. But, because of the rain and road closures Abby's teacher wasn't there yet and she did not like that. She clung to me for dear life. When I tried to leave she was screaming and kicking the lady who was in there and I felt horrible. So I stood in the hall at a loss for what to do. Then a friend of mine was dropping her daughter off and told me to just leave, Abby would be fine. I needed to hear that. So I went to my car and sat waiting for the phone call to say "Lady, your daughter is crazy please come pick her up" but the only phone call I got was from my friend. She said when she walked by Abby was doing fine and had calmed down, and she went on reassuring me. I was so thankful for that because I was really worried. So now, she is there and we can only wait and see how the day goes.

How does she do it?
Yet again I have discovered Abby asleep in weird places. I know you must think "that girl can sleep anywhere?" And I must admit it does seem that way. But, the truth is that she never sleeps. She gets up at all hours of the night and plays. Thus when she does fall asleep she ends up somewhere besides her bed.

Ketchup
Last night we decided to try a new burger place. Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It was OK but we still have others that we like better. But that is beside the point.
I was getting the drinks and near there was the ketchup. They don't have ketchup packets like a normal fast food joint. They have a little pump that you get the ketchup from. I got some Ketchup and of course Abby wanted to carry it back to the table. The place was packed and i didn't want to make a scene plus I was carrying the drinks so against my better judgment I conceded.
Bad Choice. Just a few feet from our table Abby drops the ketchup and of course it goes flying everywhere. Have you ever said this to a stranger? " Excuse me Sir, I am really really sorry but my daughter just dropped the ketchup and a good portion of it landed on your butt" Well I have, and then proceeded to try and direct him to the spot. He then stood and had is wife wipe it off.
How embarrassing.

Gag me with a spoon...
I am sure I am not the only one who thinks their child is disgusting. However, I do feel perhaps Abby is far nastier than anyone I have ever met. Just when I think she cant get any worse she does. Mind you, she sticks her hands and fingers in places they SHOULD NOT be. Nasty. She licks things. She has had fecal issues. So, you would think by now that I am used to her lack of hygiene. Nope.
Today she literally activated my gag reflex. I nearly vomited. I saw her doing a potty dance so I told her to go use the restroom. She did. I heard her go and then flush. I was busy playing with Brigham so I didn't notice right away that she didn't come out.
When I did notice all I heard was Abby playing in water. I figured she was playing in the sink since she has a tendency to do that. So when I came to tell her to stop, much to my shock, dismay, disgust, what have you; Abby's face and hair are completely wet. I caught her with her hands in the toilet using the water therein to wash her face and hair. BARF! Seriously? Did that just happen? I put her into the bath immediately and commenced operation scrub down. She did not understand why she was having to take a bath and why it was so incredibly disgusting.
If boiling your child to disinfect them was not considered child abuse I think perhaps I might have done so.
On the bright side...at least she flushed first.

Nastics
Traslated from Abby speak meaning Gymnastics. Once a week for the past 4 weeks Abby has had gymnastics at the rec center. I was really impressed. I figured it would be some mats out and they would strech and roll around. But I was pleastly surprised to find this was not the case. It was very organized and overall awesome. They had a high bar, rings, a rope, balance beem etc. Being Abby's first class in something organized she struggled a bit. I had to chase her down and stay with her a good portion of the time but the teacher was great and Abby loved it. Now we will see how preschool goes in a few weeks.
The Set up
Doing a back bend
The class after a day of work
Climbing the "mountain"
It even tuckered Briggs out
Waiting for her turn
The balance beam
Abby was a master of the rings and high bar. I was really impressed with her skills and willingness to do things.

The Pictures are in....
I finally had time to post these. Here are a few of my favorites. There are two missing but I couldn't figure out the formatting issues. Anyway if you want to see them all you can visit www.pickleposh.com and click on the clients section. Enter our last name as the password. There are a few on here that are not in the gallery. Overall I am pleased with how they turned out. I am a little disappointed that there isn't a better family shot. However Abby wouldn't sit still for more than 1/2 a second and thus I am sure that's the main reason. There are some that I do really love. Enjoy :)
