1. hmmm there are so many, one would be the dishwasher. I am very particular about the dishwasher. I like to not over "cram" it. Everything needs plenty of room and you cannot put something in there without washing it off well beforehand. I also prefer to put all the forks in a slot and all the spoons etc that way you can put them away really quickly.
2. I have to do things in order, life read the scriptures. Or like when watching conference sessions, I like to take notes. So I cannot watch them out of order because then they would be out of order in my journal and that would drive me crazy. I also like all my books organized by author that way I can find them quickly. If there is a numbered series I like to have them in order as well.
3. I like my closet organized, usually just by color because I dont have very many clothes. But then by type, like long sleeve, church clothes etc.. Also when something is taken off the hanger I put the hanger in a different spot so I always have lots of empty hangers in the same spot without searching for them.
4. I dont know why but I absolutely hate it when people leave the toilet seat up. All aspect of the toilet need to be down when you are done with your business. When I walk into a bathroom where the lid is up it literally makes me gag.
5. When I eat pizza, if I must I will use my hands but for some reason I really only like to use a fork and knife at least until the crust. I am not sure why, I just do.
6. The kitchen sponge...this is a big deal. I hate a nasty sponge that smells like barf because you need a new one. Also if it has been used on the floor it is no longer allowed to be used on dishes.

What can I say I'm weird but at least I accept it.

I tag you!

Dental Woes

We all love the dentist don't we? Actually, I really do like my dentist and I recommend everyone I know to him. I recently went in for my cleaning/check up and we have been keeping an eye on a crown that I had for a root canal awhile ago. Nothing was that wrong with it but the dentist wasn't satisfied with the way it looked so he suggested making a new crown, just to be safe. So we made the appointment and he took off my old crown, sent off for a new one and made a temporary in the mean time. Well like two days later the temporary fell out, more like broke and so I had to go in for a new one. I was just pleased I didn't choke on it in my sleep. So the next one they tried a new cement concoction to try to make it stay better, and it did. This was lasted about four days and again the dang thing fell out. So in I went again for another temporary since the new crown was still on order. This time they tried a different type of tooth to see if that would stick better. I thought for sure that this would do the trick.... but just 3 days later I was eating dinner and afterwards I was like uh oh, I think I swallowed my temporary!!!! So am I going to die of metal poisoning because the new tooth they tried was a metal one?... I keep thinking, do I feel funny?? Is it scraping my insides? Well I guess I am not dead yet so I think I am OK. But right now I am on my fourth temporary tooth, and he tried all the tricks he knew to try to keep it in, so keep your fingers crossed for me. I think I may have toxic saliva that eats away at the temporary holds. I just hope this one doesn't fall off because as much as I enjoy spending my time at the dentist I have had my fill, no pun intended. The dentist said he has never had this much trouble with anyone before. My question is, has anyone had this happen to them. I am not blaming the dentist at all, I really do think it is me, its just weird.

Twlight....

I finally gave into the hype of the Stephanie Meyer Twilight series. It has been awhile since I have read a book for mere pleasure since Abby was born. So I gave it a try. The problem is, when I read a series, I tend to be completely distracted by it. Not able to really focus on anything until I have read everything the Author has written related to the story line. So I devoured the four books in just under two weeks, pretty much reading all night after Abby was in bed or napping. I have to admit the overall series was good and kept me reading, however in my humble opinion, it was very predictable. I guessed pretty much everything that happened. Even though I wanted those things to happen, it still was disappointing to find out they happened just how I was anticipating. This is no lie, I told Maegan what I thought would happen in Breaking Dawn and I was correct. However there were a few surprises when, the conclusion was the same but the path to get there was a bit different than I anticipated. Over all it was an easy read, the kind I like. Where you don't have to think a lot but you are distracted by the world around you as it provides an escape from reality.

Rock On

To rock or not to rock? That is the question. Abby had some sunscreen in her hair this day, and since it is beginning to get a bit longer you can actually see the the Mohawk. She looked so cute. I thought perhaps she could be a punk rocker for Halloween, you know with the tight skinny leg pants, that chain around the waist and pink eye shadow, the whole bit. But then I saw a really cute bumble bee outfit and I changed my mind. She looks so freaking cute in her costume I can not wait for Halloween, however she hated it and cried the entire time I was trying it on her to see if it fit, hopefully that will change in the next two weeks because I want to be able to get some good pictures of her in it. By the way, today Abby is 17 months old, holy COW!

The Debate

Tonight was the Vice Presidential debate and I don't know about you but I could not pull away from it. I didn't intend to be fully captivated by it. So here is my food for thought...Palin blew away Biden and simply put he should be embarrassed. Although there were some awkward moments on both sides, overall Palin left Biden in the dust. Who can refute her "talking straight to the people mentality?" I just think she is a great pick as a VP. Although I don't agree that McCain will be the best president ever, but I do think that looking at both party picks McCain/Palin is the better choice. I have a new found respect for Palin, too bad its not a Romney/Palin ticket, then maybe we could get the economy and the energy crises under control.

Sleeping Beauty

This is my little beauty first thing in the morning. Fresh from a nights worth of sleep. When Abby wakes, there is nothing more fun than playing with her because she is so happy and snugly. She will just giggle and try and be funny. That is only if she wakes up on her own. Otherwise if you wake her before she is due, she is a little beast. But the good days definitely out weigh the bad. I love being with her first thing in the morning. What a doll. Other than that we haven't been up to much just playing at the park and keeping each other company. She is a wee bit sick right now so she is extra needy which is frustrating but I don't mind. What I do mind are her adventures escaping from me and playing in the toilet, or finding the comet and pretending its a milkshake and of course the breaking of ceramic things around my dad and Cindy's house.

Here and There

Here are some more recent pictures of Abigail's adventures. Its hard not to take pictures of her every second of the day. How is it possible to love one little butt so much?

Abigail is so independent, she will go anywhere and not need anyone to accompany her. She loves to play at the park and this particular day it was so hot and humid. She also pinched another little girl there, I felt so bad.
This is a soccer ball we found at the park she loved to kick it around and mostly try to sit on it.
Abby very much enjoyed the slide. We went down this numerous times. She also tried to walk up it becoming very frustrated that she could not do it.

This is the infamous crib that Abby was stuck in last week. Along with the patch job that my dad did. It works for now but we will need a permanent fix. I contacted the crib manufacturer to complain and guess what? It has been recalled. Lovely, well at least we may get a new one out of it.

Here is sleeping beauty herself. I couldn't resist snapping a picture of her. At times I just sit and stare at her, not believing that she is mine. What a precious doll.

Abby and I last Sunday before the horrible day began, at least it started with smiles.

Oh What a Sunday!

Well where to begin one of the worst Sunday's ever? The day started normally yet it all went downhill from there. While at church Abby was her typical self, being a busy little bee. Then add on top of that fits and her lovely screams it was an all out blast. Thus, I think of all three hours of church I maybe got 20 minutes out of it. Thus, I was pretty frustrated and near reaching my limit on emotions and frustration. Not that my well isn't already dry when it comes to that. It doesn't take much to make me tear up these days. Not to mention I also cry when I am frustrated lucky me! Nonetheless, I was roaming the halls with Abby and she tripped and fell. Pretty typical, and she was crying so I picked her up to try and console her. After about two minutes, she stopped crying and I pulled her back to look at her and low and behold her whole face was bloody. I was like "what the heck". So I took her into the bathroom to try and discover the source and apparently she had bit her tongue in the fall and it was bleeding like a stuck pig. Poor little thing had teeth marks in her tongue. I then looked at myself in the mirror and saw that my entire shoulder was completely red, covered in blood and soaked through my under clothing as well. So it was time to leave church, I headed back to class for my bag and we hit the road. I was at my wits end at this point but it only got better. Aside being emotionally drained certain situations occurred that even further depleted how I was feeling. So I got home and put Abby down for a nap and changed my clothes. I was just sitting there for a bit and noticed blood on the shorts I had just put on. I was like "what the heck" So I looked under where the blood was and apparently I had scratched my leg somehow and there was blood all over my thigh and soaked through my shorts. Lovely....THEN I had asked my dad and Cindy to listen for Abby while I was on the phone and about 20 minutes later my dad comes out and is very ummmm agitated and says "you need to get upstairs now! Abby is stuck in her crib". So I run upstairs and sure enough her leg is lodged in between the rails. Her leg had welts and was all red and looking a bit swollen. I figured if my dad and Cindy couldn't get her out I probably couldn't either so...my dad and I proceeded to break the rail in order to get her leg out. Thus, at this point Abby is having a rough day as well. So shes out and I am like "what the HECK?". But no worries it still got better. I was playing with Abby on the floor and there is a toy hammer that she likes to tote around with her which she happened to have in her hand. So she sat on my lap all cute and innocent and BAM! she whacks me in the face and now I have a wonderful lump on my eyebrow! I knew the day won for one of the worst in the books. Lets just say that my mood of the day was not a good one and I hope the week is better.

16 Months old

I just cant believe my baby isn't really a baby anymore. She is a toddler yet I really have not accepted it. I don't want to. Is that bad? She is such a little ham and I enjoy every second of her existence, well maybe not every second, giving her fits but I love her all the same. These are some pics of her in the hot tub with my dad, she really was enjoying the jets and warm water. I think she also liked it because she had a really awful rash on her fanny and I think it was soothing :) I think she is teething again because she is drooling like Hooch. It was so windy yesterday I could actually see the spittle flying....YUM. She can also sort of say Thank You. What is also really funny is that she throws everything out of her crib. No matter what... everytime I walk in there her blankets and animals are on the floor. Even at 3 in the morning. Its like she gets up on purpose to throw them on the floor for me to stumble on them n the night, like a big "I'll show you" mom!

Monday, September 1, 2008

Well, the move is complete. It really is odd not being in our home anymore. So many things have happened there, after four years you have a lot of memories. Right now my access to the Internet is limited so I probably will not be posting all that often but, I shall try my best. Right now we are just floating until we figure out where life will takes us.
Abby is getting so big and it seems just within the last week she has changed so much. She will fold her arms for prayer, sign she wants a bottle, conduct music at church during a hymn and roar like a lion if you roar at her first. She is such a little pill and I love her dearly. I cannot believe how each and every day she changes so drastically. Sometimes I cannot keep up with all the changes. She is however, into the stage where she screams all the time. She screams especially loud if she is frustrated and by the end of the day mom has a gigantic headache. But at least she doesn't bite that much anymore :)
