Abby's First Pony...

Abby's first pony tail that is. I was so excited when I was able to pull her hair back into a pony. I thought the day would never come. Through out the day pieces eventually fall out, especially after nap time but I thought it was so cute.

This is Abby amid throwing a tantrum. She was not happy of course. But sometimes its funny to us, I think sometimes if I didn't just laugh at theses moments I would just cry, which happens too.

Don't mind my big belly in there, this is Abby calming down.

Here are just a few pics. I discovered my new favorite store. Carters.... I didn't know they actually had stores. Seth I were on a mission to find Abby some new shoes since she needs a new pair every week almost and we were not having luck. But we happened upon Carters and well I didn't just walk out with shoes. I got her a new pair of shoes, a dress, two pairs of Capri's and two new shirts for under $40.00. The outfit she is wearing in the pic was 8 bucks total. I am not sure I will shop anywhere else now.

The Shower

This past Saturday my friend Maegan threw me a baby shower. At first I was reluctant because 1. this is my second and 2. I hate being the center of attention. But, I was convinced since, 1. due to circumstances I did not have a shower with Abby and 2. I was having a boy and needed some things. But my fears of being the center of attention really were for naught, since no one really came. I think it must have been a really bad weekend or something. But, at least there was lots of good food, family and a few friends. I got some cute clothes, custom burp cloths, a few blankets and a really cute taggy blanket. Thanks to those who know, for all the hard work that was put into this. I did not get as many pictures as I wanted which is surprising, but here are a few that came out.This is just some of the food, I neglected to get a picture of the whole ensemble.Here I am being a goof but whats new there?Some of the really cute clothes I received. I have to say I was pretty impressed by this one. My friend Cam, and in a round about way part of the family, made this designer burp cloth. For those who don't know, we are 99.9% sure his name is going to be Brigham Mason Whitworth. Seth wanted him to have the initials BMW (he thought it would be cool and I didn't care) not to mention its the only name we like. I almost don't want to use it, its too cool.

Feeling the Nerves

Even though I am 28 and 1/2 weeks pregnant, the reality that there will be another little life to take care of hasn't quite settled in. However as time passes and I get new things for him, its beginning to create an internal frenzy of "holy crap we are going to have two kids!" Such as today when a new car seat pad came in the mail. Instead of buying a new car seat I bought a new cover which is more boy friendly. I did only have two patterns to choose from but I actually like it better than I did online.I also had this ebay gift certificate that my mom gave Abby for her Birthday, but I couldn't figure out what to buy. When I had Abby I borrowed my sisters Breast Friend and loved it. But now that she is in Utah I cant quite do that again, not to mention she just had her baby and needs it. So she suggested to look for one of those. I found one at half the price of retail that has never been used. Its not exactly boy colors but I don't care since I wont be toting it around. No worries to those who think "what a bad mom to use her daughters b-day gift" I got her something else that is equal.

All in all its the little things like this that make me realize how different life will be very shortly. Especially when I have my baby shower that my friend Maegan is throwing me, it will really start to weird me out. Anyway....

Welcoming Jensen Bell

Saturday morning, my sister Codee gave birth to the newest addition to our family; little Jensen Bell. She was 6lbs 14oz and 18 and 1/2 inches long. We all already love her so much, I just wish I could be there to meet her in person. The delivery went well and was quite a different experience then she had with Jamison, which is a good thing. I will let her give all the detail when she is able on her blog.

Update

Today I had another doctors appointment...and everything is fine, yeah! I had to do the glucose test, and the lady told me not to take longer than 5 minutes to drink it. Little did she know, it was like drinking a melted slushy and it was down the hatch before she could turn around :) It didn't bother me at all. So we are waiting on those results. My blood pressure was good, which is a constant worry. I also had a sonogram to check his growth to see if there was any indication of his growth slowing which is a sign of preeclampsia. All was well there also. He has a big noggin measuring at 28 and 1/2 weeks, I am currently 27 and 1/2 weeks. His legs were measuring at 29 weeks and the fluid all looked good. It was neat to see more of him then just the skeleton. He was more fleshy and was sucking his fingers (great another one). I already know he is going to be the cutest little boy in the world. I feel very thankful that all is going well thus far. I just always keep my fingers crossed.

Relief...

As many know, we lease out our house in Keller. It was fine for about 6 months until the person leasing it bailed on us without letting us know. Thus, it put major stress into our lives, trying to get it cleaned up and put back into the market so we can get some cash flow. Thankfully it wasn't in horrible condition and just needed a really good scrubbing and a few fixes. Really it hasn't been back on the market too long but essentially, one day was too long for us. But today, we have new tenets!!! Hallelujah!! I cannot tell you what a relief it is. I have been so stressed about it especially with so many hospital bills soon the be arriving. Honestly I don't know how we have been able to cover everything for the past few months, well that's a lie, Heavenly Father definitely blessed us. Its one of those cases of you still have the same amount of money but twice the bills and they still get paid. Miracles do happen. Anyway, I am so relieved. Now its time to decide if we should sue our deserting tenet, if it is really worth the effort to go to small claims to get what he owes. Anyway....

Fun in the Sun

It has been pretty hot in these parts, and thankfully we have had access to a pool. Last Friday we went and spent the day with Maegan and Sophie. We went to her community pool which has some really cool stuff for the kids. Sophie was a little go getter, going through of the spraying toys and whatnot, but Abby didn't want anything to do with it. She clung to my leg pretty much the whole time. Then just before it was time to go she decided she wanted to be miss independent and started to wander further and further.

The Next day we spent at Christy's house (Seth's Sister) and had a BBQ and went swimming. We had yummy food and some mean water volleyball going on. Abby likes to swim but she also likes to graze peoples plates and she how much food she can acquire and consume. While we are there Seth likes to give her mini swimming lessons. Trying to get her to kick, go underwater and learn some water basics. She is such a little squirt and the center of attention at most family functions.

25 Weeks

I am officially 25 weeks. People keep asking me to post pictures so here you have it. They are completely scuzzy because I just got home from the gym. Its probably the tightest most pregnant belly revealing shirt I wear. I took this myself with the timer on the camera, not to shabby eh.? Its a little hard to tell with the black shirt and couch behind but I think its the best I can get... I have another Doctors appointment on Friday so I will keep everyone posted. This pregnancy is starting to really ware on me now. My feet are slowly starting to swell and I am more winded after doing regular things. Thus far I have not really felt pregnant but as these thing set in, now I am.

Abby and I were playing in the car while waiting for someone and so I took some random pics.

Austin

Seth, Abby and I decided to head down to Austin to visit his grandparents. In the 5 1/2 years we have been married we have never been, and we thought it was about time. They live in a little town near Austin and have 6 acres of beautiful scenery. It was nice to visit and just relax. We spent time swinging on the porch hoping for rain, eating out, visiting the park, taking walks, visiting the neighbors horses and peacocks, riding the tractor and much more. The first night we got there Juen and Darrell (Seth's Grandparents) were at the temple so we made ourselves at home and took a tour of their property. Abby will do anything but she hates swings. So we put her on the swing the first night and it was awful. But something happened overnight because that is all she wanted to do the whole time. She is now officially addicted to the swing. Abby loved spending time with her great grandparents, it was nice because she took right to them and was always screaming for one of them to rescue her when she was in trouble or wanted to go outside. Seth and I also enjoyed our time there and hope to do it more often.
