Sleeping Beauty

Abby doesn't exactly go to sleep when its nap time anymore. She gets up and plays and then falls asleep later. Thus when Seth walked into check on her this is where she had fallen asleep. Doesn't it look comfy?

Brigham update

Our little man
As of today Briggs is still sick, however I think he is finally beginning to get better. On Wednesday he was still pretty sick even after the meds and the nebulizer which he had been on for a week, thus I took him to the doctor again. She changed up his meds and added a new one but just to be safe also sent him to get a chest x-ray. That was fun :( But as always he was a little champ and the good news is no pneumonia. Just a little sick dude. I think his chest is healing and now he is just coughing a lot. He has been really grumpy which is unlike him but, who can blame him. I am also pretty sure he is teething as well. The kid just cant catch a break. I can see the teeth and I can feel something, wow is he already teething, time sure goes quickly these days.

All bundled up.

In other news just as I was sitting here typing Briggs rolled over for the first time (back to front and front to back, all in one shot). Yay! However I screamed so loud with excitement I scared him and now he is crying.

Brighams Hair

So as most of you know Abby did not have a single hair cut until she was almost two years old. Thus, its a bit odd to already be cutting Brigham's hair. Yes, he was not even 4 months old when we did cut it. But it was getting long and in his eyes as well as bothering his ears. So I bit the bullet and took the scissors to it myself. Its not the best job in the world but at least he can see now, not to mention its really hard to cut hair on such a bobble head.

Dentist, Doctor, and lots of Meds

Well my day off turned out to be more eventful than I had planned. I had originally scheduled a dentist appointment for Abigail because one of her teeth gave us cause to worry. It looked rotten on the inside. However the night before Brigham was up all night wheezing and coughing. Often times puking everything in his stomach because of the mucus. It was a rough night and no one slept well. So first thing in the morning I tried to get Briggs to a doctor but not many people accept new patients with our new insurance and no one was calling back. In the meantime Abby's dentist called and cancelled her appointment due to an emergency. She was so excited to go and have her teeth looked at I called around and found her an appointment at a different dentist around the original appointment time. Soon after that I finally got a call from a pediatrician and landed Briggs and appointment too.
ABBY:
I really ended up liking the new dentist I found for Abby so I was happy the other guy cancelled. Abby was so excited to be there she just kept asking when she was going to look at her teeth. However true to Abby's nature she christened the dentist office straight away with a wonderful aroma in her pants. After a quick diaper change we were ready to go. But as soon as the dentist began talking to her, she decided she wasn't quite sure she wanted to have her teeth looked at anymore. Thus no good pictures due to the fact she was clinging to me the rest of the appointment. I held her while the dentist looked at her teeth and low and behold, no cavities! She said her tooth looked dead and it was probably dead because of a fall or something in the past and not to worry about it unless it pains her. Phew! I thought she was going to have to have her tooth pulled. She let the dentist look at her teeth however she screamed at the top of her lungs the whole time. It was odd, although the staff seemed to think it was rather hilarious. After a quick fluoride treatment we were done.
Abby telling the dentist thank you.
Discovering they gave her a new purple tooth brush.
BRIGGS:
For Brigham things were rough. We got the doctor and she said she wanted to put him on a breathing treatment right there in the office. So we sat there for 20 minutes trying to get him breathing on the nebulizer which had medicine in it to help clear his air passages, a medicine that's often used for asthmatics. However I was informed that even though his symptoms were similar to asthma that in children under two it is not called asthma and thus she called it something similar to bronchitis. After his round on the nebulizer she came back to listen to him again and he sounded a little better. Thus she then scheduled a follow up appointment for the next day, sent us home with a breathing machine and several prescriptions. Some meds for the machine, some steroids and antibiotics. He still sounds awful and I hope these meds start to kick in soon. The follow up appointment went well she said he sounded better and to continue treatment. Now its just a waiting game. He is however 4 months now and weighs a whopping 16.4 lbs. These are all the things I need for BriggsHe was not very fond of the face mask, it was a little big even though it was for kids, thus we tried the mouth piece. He has to have these treatments for 5 days every 6 hours :(
Poor little guy, I feel so bad.

We borrowed this Bumbo from our niece Izzy. Brigham is such a little man...

6 Years

I cannot believe it has been six years since Seth and I were married yet here we are. I had to work most of the day but we did at least get to go on a date thanks to my Dad and Cindy who watched the kiddos. Seth also got me some really pretty flowers and chocolates. I felt bad because I really wasn't expecting anything giving our current situation. Thus I was up stairs changing from my work clothes when a few minutes later Seth comes up and is like ummm.. hello.... and stares right at the flowers and chocolates sitting in a place that no one could miss seeing except for me. I felt really bad but I was very thankful for his thoughtfulness. Here is to next year and the eternity to come :)

Seth will love this blast from the past. This is our engagement photo that went with our wedding invitations.

Christmas Snow

By the time Seth and Abby made it out to play in the snow a good portion had melted but there was still plenty to have fun in. Even though she was freezing Abby loved it.

Christmas Morning

This was the first Christmas that Abby really knew what was going on. Since her visit with Santa all we heard about were presents, Santa and Christmas. It was really fun to watch her reactions to her gifts and the day in general. She was opening a pair of shoes and she got so excited when she saw the hanger they were on. She was so delighted to have a hanger as her gift :) This Christmas was pretty much all about the kids and mostly Abby. She hit the mother load. By the time we were almost done she was actually tired of opening gifts. She just wanted to play with what she had already opened. We woke up and opened our stalkings. Then opened gifts upon gifts. We then had a delicious breakfast with homemade Cinnamon rolls and breakfast burritos. Then my sister Cassidee went home and my Dad and Cindy left to go visit my papa Ken who is in the hospital. Thus we had the afternoon to just be lazy. It was also a great Christmas because we had a truly white Christmas. It was beautiful. It snowed all Christmas Eve and left us with a wonderful layer of snow to wake up to. After presents Seth took Abby out to play in it. I will post those separately. Here is our morning in pictures...... This is the first thing we saw

Catch Up

Even though I wasn't scheduled I ended up working yesterday as well. Thus I wasn't able to accomplish as much as I wanted to. However I just completed downloading several hundred pics from the last few weeks so I have lots of things to share. Now its just a matter of deciding which ones are best and getting them posted.

For inquiring minds, the Jonas Brothers just bought regular things. On Christmas Eve it was just toys, food, and other stuff I cannot remember and the other day it was a few pairs of scissors I think. I wasn't really paying attention to what they were buying. So I hope that satisfies those who were curious.

Life is really busy right now I am working a lot of days but it doesn't necessarily add up to a lot of hours because I get scheduled for 5, 6 or 7 hour shifts which is lame but, I will take what I can get.

Seth and I serve in Primary, last year we taught the 9 year olds and this year we will be teaching the 4 year olds. That's always an adventure.
Abby is getting big and is so funny. We are trying to get her potty trained but we are not being very successful. Brigham is as always a chill little guy. He is so good and we couldn't be more blessed with the kids we have.

So there is a brief update. I am hoping to post Christmas pictures soon. But for now here are a few cute moments from the last few weeks.
